Vice President
A long-time fanatic for independent businesses, Chad Hankinson leveraged his extensive
experience with innovation at Australian Gold to become Vice President at New
Sunshine. His role at New Sunshine includes leading team development for the world’s
most popular tanning salon software, called Helios (gohelios.com), alongside the New
Sunshine Marketing Hub (newsunshinehub.com) and Salon Stream (salon-stream.com).
Excited to finally incorporate his lifelong passion for independent business into his work,
Chad recently led a small team to strike out and create the simplest possible software to
help independent hairstylists get their businesses to run… in two words, beautifully well!

Stylist-in-Residence
For some, hairstyling’s a job. For others, it’s a passion: an innate gift that lights them up
and drives them to outperform and over-deliver. Michelle G. is definitely the latter.
As the daughter of a skilled cosmetologist, Michelle began learning the craft of
hairstyling at an early age, building her skills long before formally entering the industry.
Her professional training includes more than 700 hours in the past five years alone,
having shadowed and apprenticed with some of the top stylists in our industry. Today,
Michelle is a professional trainer, mentoring fellow stylists as a color and cut educator
for both Cool Beauty Consulting and REFrence of Sweden.
Her specialties include color, corrective color, curly hair (a focal point of her business),
men’s hair, long hair (grow-out strategies, styling, and extensions), and special occasion
styling (updos, wedding styles, photo sessions, etc.), among others.
“ I’m passionate about hair, the people in my chair, and the people behind the chair,” she
says. Beyond making clients look and feel their best, Michelle finds great joy in
continuous growth and sharing what she’s learned with those who love hair, those who
wear it, and those who dedicate their lives to always making it beautiful.
Until now, the industry has lacked a solution created especially
with one hairstylist in mind, but I’m confident Stylie One is a
