Stop light

Solar Powered
Stop light
The stop light consist of three main
parts.
• The power source
• The Power converter/controller
• The stop light
There are also a Remote control
and a receiver placed inside,
which allowed users to control
the light on the stop light.
•We are using a 12 volts sealed
lead acid battery.
• The battery giving 5-Amp per
hours charging time.
The battery is
being use as a
back up power.
The solar panel
is the main
power source.
We are using a
6 by 12 inches,
that provide a
20 Voltages
and 100mA
short circuit in a
full sunlight.
• The a above circuit diagram is a
charger that will drop the 20 volts
given by the solar panel to 12 volts,
the amount that will need to charge
the battery.
• The charger also have another unique
functions that it will indicate the user
when the battery is full by light up the
LED. It’s prevents the battery form over
charging.
• The stop light was originally
consume a 110 Voltage AC. But
we have to rewired the circuit so
that it only have to use a 12 volt
DC battery.
• We are using a radio frequency
(RF) transmitter and receiver,
since the Inferred (IR) doesn’t
work well in the bright sun light.
• The sun light would
have interfere with
the Inferred signal
• we had replaced all the light
bulb that generate more heat that
light with a multiple of high
efficiency ultra-bright LED.
• The stop light will be use
outside, So the Radio Frequency
would transmitter and receiver
would be best for the situation.
