How to register a new food company
in Dubai Municipality’s Services –

As a start you will need to get a trade license from an
authorized organization in economy that includes food
activities or general trading

Open Dubai Municipality’s link www.dm.gov.ae and
click on register

Fill in all the required information about the trade license
and add the requested services by selecting food control
department and then Food Import Re-export Services

After selecting the
wanted services and
clinking on next a new
page will open that will
need to fill and then you
will need to select three
different users according
to you preferences.
When you will be done
an email will be sent to
you with the user and
password

When you will be done bring
the trade license and the user
and password sent to your
email along with a form that
you will need to fill, sign and
stamp to Karama Center
counter 9,10,11 and 12.

The activation includes generating a user

After activating the services you will need to pay 15000 Dhs as
a deposit

To start importing food items you need to make sure that all
the items you are planning to import are registered in the FIRS
system and to do that you need to following the coming step

Search for your food item before applying for
registration

Feed in the barcode and click on search

The result of the search shows that the item is registered already, so if
you applied for the same barcode it will be rejected, but if the item
was not registered you will need to register it
