“Win a Mini Vancouver City Hall” contest will take

Join Talk Vancouver and win a Mini Vancouver City Hall Contest Rules
The “Win a Mini Vancouver City Hall” contest will take place through Talk Vancouver, and will run from
9:00 am on Monday Dec 12th, until noon on Friday December 23rd. The prize is a mini Vancouver City
Hall Kit. The kit contains pieces which can be built into Vancouver City Hall.
New members and current members of Talk Vancouver are eligible to win. Twenty-five mini Vancouver
City Halls are available to be won by new members. Another 25 are available to be won by current
members.

New Talk Vancouver members eligible for entry in the contest must have activated their
account between 9:01 am on Monday, December 12th and noon on Friday December 23rd.
Having an activated account means that the individual completed the sign-up questionnaire for
TalkVancouver and confirmed their e-mail address (by clicking on the link in the confirmation
email sent by Talk Vancouver after the questionnaire).

Current members of Talk Vancouver eligible for entry into the contest are those who have an
activated account (see above) as of 9:00 am on Monday, December 12th, 2016 and b) have
completed and submitted the TalkVancouver 2017 Survey before the closing date for
submission for the prize draws (see below).
Those under 18 years of age must have parent/guardian consent to enter.
Early-Bird Draw
On Friday December 16th at 12:30 pm, an early-bird prize draw will take place. Winners will be notified
that day and will be able to pick up their prize before the City closes for the holidays (December 23, 5:00
pm).

Twelve early-bird prizes will be awarded to new members on this date. New members whose
membership is activated between 9:01 am on Monday December 12th and noon on Friday,
December 16th, are eligible for this early bird draw.

Twelve early-bird prizes will also be awarded to current members on this date. Those that are
eligible to win are current members of Talk Vancouver who, a ) have an activated account as of
9:00 am on Monday December 12th and b) have submitted their TalkVancouver 2017 Survey by
12:00 noon on Friday December 16th.
Second Draw
On Friday December 23rd at 12:30 pm the second and final draw for the remaining kits will take place.
Winners will be notified that day, but prizes will not be available for pick-up until January 2, 2017.

Thirteen prize kits will be drawn and awarded to new members who joined and activated their
accounts between 9:01 am on Monday December 12 th and noon on Friday December 23rd, and
did not win an early-bird prize.

Thirteen prize kits will also be drawn and awarded to current members. To be eligible these
individuals must have a) an activated Talk Vancouver membership as of 9:00 am on December
12th, and b) completed the Talk Vancouver 2017 Survey by noon on December 23rd and c) did
not win a kit in the early-bird draw.
Employees of the City of Vancouver, the Vancouver Park Board and their related agencies are not
eligible to win.
One prize per membership allowed. Prizes must be accepted as drawn.
Picking up a prize
Early bird prizes can be picked up at the Security Office at Vancouver City Hall between Monday
December 19th and Friday December 23rd, or after January 2, 2017 at Vancouver City Hall, 453 West 12 th
Avenue.
Prizes drawn on Friday December 23rd can be picked up at the Security Office in Vancouver City Hall
beginning on January 2, 2017.
If arriving outside business hours, please come to the south side of Vancouver City Hall and ring the
buzzer to call security.
Announcement of Winners
Winners will be notified by email on December 16 th and 23rd. In addition, The City will share the first
names and last name initial for each winner in an email announcement to the Talk Vancouver panel. By
entering this contest, you are giving the City of Vancouver permission to publish your abbreviated name
in this email.
