Lab #11 Assembly 1. Create Parts 2. Go to master assembly task 3. Create a new assembly (top left icon) Here there is an assembly with two subassemblies. There are six icons that look like a tree. There are (from left to right and top to bottom), create parent, create child, delete child, replace a child, duplicate a child, and create an empty. The last is to create a subassembly. 4. Put Parts into the assembly (can create sub assemblies) 5. To make it move (change task to Mechanism Design) 6. Select Constraints From left to right: revolve, universal joint, cam-follower, translational, sliding (planar)joint, camcam, cylinder, fixed, manage joints, spherical, general, coupler 7. Apply the appropriate joints. 8. Create a ground 9. Create a motion. “M” icon. Select the joint that the motion will be put on. Select the type of motion and enter a function to drive the motion. 10. Next use animate software.
