Locally Produced Community Supported Agriculture (CSA)/ Food Buying Clubs in the Bismarck-Mandan Area A CSA is a farm arrangement where members purchase a "share" of the farm's harvest, often in advance, and in return receive a share of the farm’s produce, usually each week during the growing season, or sometimes longer if the produce is preserved. The benefits of the farm are shared, and so are the risks. A buying club co-operative is a group of people who come together to find food from a food producer who makes food available for pick-up, but may not sell the food in a setting such as a grocery store. There may be other buying clubs in the area, but we are featuring only those who grow food in the Bismarck- Mandan area. For more information on locally grown food in our area, see the North Dakota Department of Agriculture’s Local Foods Directory, Southwest Region, at http://www.nd.gov/ndda/program/local-foods-initiative Bountiful Harvest CSA “Bountiful Harvest CSA provides certified organic and naturally grown produce and homemade food (canned goods and bread) in Bismarck and Mandan.
