His Commission
COMMISSION – according to Merriam-Webster’s Dictionary:
 An authorization or command to act in a prescribed manner or to perform
prescribed acts. A “charge”; to be sent by someone or something for a
specific task or tasks.
John 1 makes it clear to us that the coming of Jesus to the earth was not an after
thought of man’s sin, neither was it by chance. Rather, Jesus’ coming to the earth for the
redemption of mankind was “planned” right from the beginning.
John 1:1-5
Verses 1 – 2 establish Jesus’ Eternity
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.

come to the earth on behalf of mankind.

As one of two ordinances that Jesus left on earth, all
Christians are ‘called’ to the same manifestation of
commission as demonstrated by Jesus in Baptism.
Romans 6:3-5
