SCHOLARSHIP
The Greyhound Hall of Fame will award a $1,000
scholarship this Spring Meet: in honor of Army Spc. Jason
Dean Hunt, who was killed in the Ft. Hood shooting of
2009. Jason had a close kinship with greyhounds and his
family remains active in the business. The purpose of the
scholarship is to encourage post high school education to
persons connected with the sport of Greyhound racing.
The Scholarship winners will be announced at the
National Greyhound Association Spring Meet. The scholarship recipient will receive $500 for the fall semester
and $500 for the spring semester. The student must be in
good standing and provide a transcript of the fall semester
to receive the second payment.
The recipient will be selected by a panel of independent judges based solely on the application forms and
the three recommendations.

As a Scholarship applicant I understand that:
* Half of the award will be given to me the first semester.
* If I should decide to drop out of college at any time during the first semester, I agree to repay the Scholarship Fund the full amount I have received.
* I am to be a student in good standing and will furnish a transcript of my grades for the first semester to
the Greyhound Hall Of Fame. This will be necessary if I am to receive the second portion of the award.
