Need to decide best ‘location’ for data Freight Routeing 4.1 Verify the applicability of the LTP3 Strategic Road Network to the freight industry. ONGOING 4.2 Develop freight routeing hierarchies for South Yorkshire – strategic, local, abnormal indivisible loads. ONGOING 4.3 Develop freight route mapping from strategic network for individual industrial areas: review existing restrictions, signing, etc; identify possible new restrictions; take account of air quality management areas (AQMAs); take account of congestion problem areas; take account of noise action plans and mapping. ONGOING 4.4 Investigate the use of the syITS STM system (currently used to provide priority for late-running buses), to provide priority for freight vehicles travelling on agreed routes at offpeak times.
