Fourth Place and Appointed
Best Fair Play Team
UNAIR NEWS – After a week of competition, finally UNAIR
Football team has won the fourth place. There were 15 students
from various faculties participating in UGM Futsal
Championship 2017 held by UGM.
The fifteen members of the team were Ari Riski Harianto,
Aldinosa Adjie R, Mudjiono Ade S, Ade Real Madrid, M. Fathir
Aziz, M. Fachrul Ananda, Bintang Rasendriya A. S, M. Ali
Sabiqin, Victor Gabriell, M. Bayu J, Chairil Usman O, M. Panji
Maarifil K, M. Syafrie R, and Nucky Syafriannoer S.
The competition held in Planet Futsal Yogyakarta from 8- 15
April was participated by 32 teams from any universities in
Indonesia such as Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta, Universitas
Pembangunan Nasional Jakarta, Universitas Negeri Surakarta,
and Universitas Pembangunan Nasional, Surabaya.
In the Top 16 rounds, UNAIR Football team has won 5-4 against
Universitas Amikom Yogyakarta and in the Top 8 defeated 2-3
Islamic University of Nusantara Bandung. However, in the
semifinal, it was defeated by Tax Usakti, Jakarta.
Preparations have been made by the team coached by Supri and
Guntur, including practicing four times in a week. The team
also often had friendly games with other universities to test
their ability. Even though they failed to get the first place,
they were proud of their achievement as the fourth winner and
appointed as the team with Best Fair Play.
“We made it to the semifinal was already a great achievement
as we did not prepare at our best. There were obstacles during
practice as the players have different class schedules, so we
have difficulty to match them up. We do not want to take our
studies lightly,” said Ari, one of the players from Faculty of
