When you create artwork, you use elements and principles . . . even if
you don’t know you are using them. Elements and principles are
things like

And Space . . .
Space is when an art piece has a
background,
middle ground,
and foreground.
A background in an art piece is what is going on in the very,
very back of the picture.
Middle ground is the “stuff” in the middle, usually the things
right behind the subject.
Foreground is most usually the subject of the work, the thing
at the very front, closest to the viewer’s eye.
