Using the Switch
Setup
The Switch controls the boiler, turning the heating on and off according
to the heating mode.

Link status
r The Switch requires
permanent mains power
from a fused spur and
must be installed by a
competent person.
When the control button (A) is lit
green, Cosy is actively controlling
your heating and you can use the
Cosy Display and App. You can
revert to your old heating controls
at any point by switching it off.
The link status indicator (B) shows
the wireless connection between
the Hub and the Switch.
A comprehensive installation
and wiring guide is included in
the Switch box.

Amber = not connected. Try
moving the Hub closer to the
Switch.

Red = the Switch is not
paired with the Hub.

Buttons
Lights
The link button f (A) and status
light manage the wireless pairing
between the Hub and Cosy devices.
All the devices in the box have
already been paired for you.
Link status lights f
The Cloud button g (B) and
status light are used to manage the
Hub and Cosy Cloud connection.

Green = OK.
q
Amber = one or more Cosy
devices is out of range.
q
Red = at least one device
isn’t paired to the Hub.

Flashing amber = the Hub
is attempting to talk to a
device.
Setup
All of your Cosy devices connect
wirelessly to the Hub. The Hub
connects to the internet so
you can use the app on your
smartphone or tablet.
Your Hub needs to be located
close to your internet router and
a spare plug socket.

Connect the power cable
into the back of the Hub
(shown as ‘D’), plug the
power supply into the wall
socket and turn it on.

Take the Ethernet cable
and plug one end into the
back of the Hub (shown
as ‘C’) and the other into
a spare port on your
internet router.

Using the Display
Setup
The Display shows the current temperature at its location. The light tells
you which mode the heating is currently in.
Tap the mode button once to view the temperature for the mode, then
tap it again to confirm. The light next to the mode button confirms that the
heating mode is now active.

Slumber. Heating mode is
Slumber (default is 12°C)
until the next scheduled
mode change.
d Comfy. Heating mode is
Comfy (18°C) for one hour.
e Cosy. Heating mode is Cosy
(22°C) for one hour.
b Hibernate. Heating mode is
Hibernate until you choose
another mode from the
display/app.

There’s a problem with the
Display. Contact support online at

The Display can’t talk to the Hub.
Ensure the Hub is on and try moving
the two closer together.

The Hub can’t connect to the
Cosy servers. Ensure the Hub is
connected to the internet

Battery life is low. Return the
Display to its base and leave to
charge.

The Hub can’t talk to the Switch,
check both are on and try moving the
Hub closer.
Find somewhere near a plug
socket, preferably away from
radiators and out of the sun.

Plug the power base in at
the wall and turn it on

Place the Cosy Display on
top of the base. The Cosy
Display will light up after a
few moments.

at least 24 hours before
taking it off the base.

Setup
Control the heating from anywhere with your smartphone or tablet using
the Cosy app. Here are just a few of the feautres available from the app.

Extra control
Temperatures
Download the Cosy app
from the app store for
your device.

The app gives you more control
options including delayed start and
extended mode durations.
You can adjust the temperatures
for the heating modes from the app
to suit your personal preference.
Launch the Cosy app, tap
‘Create an account’ and
follow the instructions on
screen.
Multiple users
Schedules
Each person in your home can
download the Cosy app and use it
to control the heating. Each time
someone makes a change, Cosy
puts a note in your Activity feed.
Simple to set up, you can create up
to seven unique heating profiles for
Cosy to automatically control the
heating when you’re busy doing
other things.
Activity feed
Status screen
The Activity screen lets you know
when the heating mode changes.
Keep an eye on all the devices in
your home from the status screen.

Welcome Home Smart Plug

Welcome Home with Smart Plugs
Come home to Cosy with Smart Plugs and the Welcome Home feature. By
plugging a lamp into a Smart Plug, you don’t just come home to a warm
home, but one that is well lit and inviting.
You can add more than one Smart Plug so you can set up seperate lamps
in different rooms.

Setup
Smart Plugs can be paired to
your Cosy Hub in order to use
the Welcome Home feature.

Plug the Smart Plug into a
plug socket and switch it
on at the mains.

Plug your lamp into the
Smart Plug.

From the Cosy app, go
to the settings screen
and select the Welcome
Home option. Follow the
instructions on screen
to add a Smart Plug and
activate the Welcome
Home feature.
