Agricultural Producers Guide for Huntington

Agricultural Producers
Guide for Huntington
Brought to you by the Huntington Conservation Commission
March 2004
Huntington is fortunate to have a wide mix of locally based
in home business. In 2001, the Huntington Conservation
Commission published the Huntington Forest Producers
Guide highlighting businesses and individuals in town who
make their living from the forests. Another broad group of
business people in Huntington are the agricultural
producers; those who sell food and other things they grow
themselves.
The State of Vermont defines an agricultural producer as
someone who grows at least 50% of what they sell. We set
out to make a list of all those in Huntington selling products
generated from their agricultural endeavors. Some of those
included are large agricultural operations, while some are
small part time side business or farm stands.
We hope you will use this guide to get to know your
neighbors and frequent their businesses. There is a great
deal of good food and other agricultural products being
produced right here in Huntington. Enjoy!
