Basketball: Eastern conditioning is going well. Any players involved with fall sports that have not tried on shoes need to pick their shoe type
and size so we can order this week.
Friday - the players will be going to Rio Grande College to watch the Rio varsity play Fork Union Prep School. We will leave at 4:00 from
Eastern High School.
Seniors - Jostens will meet with seniors on Monday, Oct. 31st at 8:00 am to go over senior graduation products and to hand out
packets. They will be back on Friday Nov. 4th to pick up order forms
Students and Staff: The FCCLA cancer fundraiser t-shirts were delivered late yesterday afternoon. Members who did not get them before
the busses left will be able to pick them up on Wednesday after school. The remaining shirts will be distributed on Thursday in time for the
yearbook photo to be taken on Friday during morning meeting.
SHCTC: Will be here at EHS Friday, Nov. 4th during 2nd period to talk to all sophomores.

• ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE CLUB: The Environmental Science Club will be having a meeting on Wednesday, 10/26 after school until
about 4:00. Please bring in an empty 2 liter bottle. We will be making bird feeders.
• FCCLA: FCCLA will be hosting a holiday craft fair on December 4th here at the High School. They are seeking outside vendors and student
vendors. If you are interested in making some cash for your own holiday shopping, please consider setting up a booth to sell baked goods or
handmade products. Booth space is only $20 for students. See Miss. Dye for details.
• ACT PREP: If you are registered to take the ACT in December, and you are interested in ACT Prep, there will be an informational meeting on
Wednesday October 26 during 5A in Ms Malblanc's room (207). Only students who are planning to take the December 10 test should attend
this meeting. If you have lunch 5A, you will need to switch to 5B lunch for that day. Please let your homeroom teacher know in advance.

• SENIOR ATHLETES: The 2016 Fall Senior/Parent Night is fast approaching. It will be held on Friday, October 28th before the final home
football game vs Goshen for any senior who participated in Marching Band, Color Guard, JROTC Color Guard, Football, Boys and Girls
Soccer, Volleyball, Cheerleading, Golf, Girls Tennis and Boys and Girls Cross Country. Please pick up a form in the office and return to Mr.
Cook by Monday, October 25th.
• CROSS COUNTRY: The Boys Cross Country team ended its season on Saturday at the Voice of America Park in West Chester as they
competed in the Division 1 District meet. The boys placed 8th out of 12 teams defeating Princeton, Harrison, Northwest, and Mt. Healthy. The
boys were led by Chase Easterling who ran a personal best time of 17:10 to earn a spot on the WB all-time top ten board. Congratulations and
thanks to all team members for all your hard work and dedication this season.
• SBC 1ST TEAM ALL-STARS: Any athlete receiving 1st Team SBC recognition please come get your complimentary ticket for the banquet

9. Bus Evacuation on Wednesday during the PM Route. Students who rides the bus will be released 10
minutes early from class.

The Art and Spanish clubs are hosting a sugar skull fiesta. Students are invited to come to Mrs. Bright's room for food and sugar skull crafts on
Tuesday, Nov. 1 at 2:30-3:30. Students MUST sign up with Mrs. Noll or Mrs. Bright so that they are prepared to feed you & have your supplies.

There are a few extra 2016 yearbooks available for sale. The cost is $50.00, these will be sold on a first come first serve basis. See Mrs. Lucas.
Baseball workouts Monday and Wednesday afterschool until 4:30. There will be a baseball meeting Tuesday during advisory, for those High
school boys interested in playing.
Student council will be sponsoring a dress up day this Friday. Costumes must be school appropriate. your face cannot be covered when you
enter the building or during classes.
All high school students who are interested in playing on the academic team should attend the informational meeting at 7am on Friday 10/28
in Mrs. Nolls room. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Noll
The Junior Class is selling Spirit Wear including t-shirts, long-sleeve t-shirts, hooded sweatshirts, and stadium blankets. Order forms
will be sent home with high school students on Friday. All orders should be returned with order sheet filled out and the correct cash or
a check made to WHS. The payment should be of correct change and be in a sealed envelope stapled to the order form. High school
orders to Ms. Hahn and Elementary orders go to Kim Germann.
Special note—2XL and 3XL shirts are two dollars more per shirt than the standard order. This is not on the order form but will be
required. There will also be youth sizes available for purchase.
Orders are due by Friday, October 24th.
Volleyball Players – Please turn in your cleaned uniform in a bag with your name on it to the office by this
Wednesday, 10/26.
Upward Bound – If you were interested in applying to Upward Bound please mail you applications in as soon as
possible.
JV and Varsity Cheerleaders – Practice will begin on Monday, October 31, 2016 in the competition gym
lobby. Practice will be Monday-Thursday, 3:30 to 5:00 PM. You must wear appropriate practice clothes and
shoes.
Dance Team – Will have practice tomorrow, 10/25, and Wednesday, 10/26, from 3-4:00pm.
Congratulations – To Kaitlyn Sharp and Jared Boeckmann who are moving on to the Regional competition in Cross
Country.
