Dear Little League Community,
The Challenger Division is a division of Little League Baseball that
provides an opportunity for children 5-18 years old to play baseball
regardless of physical, emotional, or intellectual disabilities. Every season
the Bay Area Challengers, which is a group of Challenger teams that play
each other, holds an annual Challenger Jamboree. This year the 2016
Challenger Jamboree will be held in Los Gatos.
I am asking for the District 12 Little League Community to help make
this year’s jamboree a wonderful event. The event will be held on
Saturday May 28th 9:00-3:00. There will be 12-15 teams coming together
on one day to play baseball, have a yummy BBQ lunch, and go home with a
jamboree hat & medal. The jamboree will be held at Blossom Hill School.
We are planning to utilize 4 fields in the morning, break for lunch, and
then host another set of games in the afternoon. The teams that play
come from other Little Leagues in the Bay Area that sponsor a
Challenger team.
Volunteers Needed!
1. Set-up in the morning (8:00-10:00 am)
2. Lunch Set-up and Clean-up (10:30 am-1:30 pm)
3. Baseball Buddies, assist the baseball players on the field (9:30-11:30
am & 1:00-3:00 pm)
4. Clean-up following the event (2:00-4:00pm)
