COGNITIVE SCIENCE CONFERENCE
Call for papers
This year Slovenian Cognitive Science conference will be held again as a part of the
multiconference Information Society at the Jožef Stefan Institute, Ljubljana.
This year’s conference topic will be “Embodied cognition: from embodied robotics to enactive
cognition”, but papers from all areas and approaches to cognitive science will be considered.
We are happy to invite everybody, dealing with the subject of human mind to present your work
and participate in discussion. We want to highlight the diversity of topics, problems, methods and
insights that is characteristic for modern cognitive science, which is why we aim at the broadest
spectrum of disciplines. Papers from all of the constitutive areas will be considered: neuroscience,
philosophy, artificial intelligence, psychology, linguistics, anthropology, educational sciences,
economy and other applicable areas. The program committee will especially value works with
interdisciplinary nature, attempting to bridge the gap between discipline-specific research
approaches, terminologies and viewpoints.
We will try to open space for networking, debate, and exchange of knowledge, connecting local and
international, young and seasoned researchers.
Longer versions of selected papers will be considered for publication in the interdisciplinary journal
INDECS.
Submission & review process
Please send an extended abstract of max. 4 pages (approx. 2000 words) including references by
email, with the subject line " ISCOGSCI 2016", to: [email protected].

Deadlines & dates
Submission deadline: September 11h, 2016
Notification to authors: September 11th, 2016
Camera-ready papers deadlines: September 16th, 2016
Date of the conference: October 13th 2016 (Note: in the case of large number of accepted papers, we
may extend the Conference for an additional day on October 14th 2016.)
Further information
Conference will mainly be held in English, but submissions in Slovenian will also be accepted.
Attending the conference is free of charge, but authors of papers must register (at http://is.ijs.si/)
and pay the registration fee. For all students and alumni of the MEi:CogSci program conference fee
is 50 eur, for others 100 eur.

KONFERENCA KOGNITIVNA ZNANOST
Vabilo za prispevke
Kot je že tradicija, konferenca Kognitivna znanost, ki bo oktobra potekala v okviru multikonference
Informacijska družba 2016, tudi letos vabi vse raziskovalce, ki se dotikate področja kognitivne
znanosti, da predstavite svoje delo.
Tema letošnje conference bo “Utelešena kognicija: od utelešene robotike do udejanjene
kognicije”, vendar bodo obravnavani prispevki z vseh področji in pristopov h kognitivni znanosti:
od nevroznanosti, filozofije, umetne inteligence, psihologije, jezikoslovja, antropologije do
edukacijskih ved, ekonomije in drugih aplikativnih področij. K spoznanjem na področju
raziskovanja duševnosti vsaka disciplina prispeva specifične raziskovalne pristope, svoj znanstveni
jezik in temu primerne formulacije spoznanj. Zaradi raznolikosti pristopov je vse bolj jasna potreba
po sintezi.
V upanju, da bo letošnja konferenca odprla prostor za povezovanje spoznanj domačih in tujih,
mladih in izkušenih raziskovalcev, vabimo vse, ki bi si želeli predstaviti svoje raziskovalne
rezultate ali teoretsko delo, da pošljete svoje prispevke. Pri izbiri bodo imeli prednost prispevki
interdisciplinarne narave, ki bodo poskušali premostiti vrzel(i) med raziskovalnimi pristopi,
terminologijami in pogledi posamičnih disciplin.
Strokovni odbor bo nekatere izmed prispevkov predlagal (v razširjeni obliki) za objavo v
interdisciplinarni reviji INDECS.
Oddaja prispevkov & recenzentski postopek
Prispevke pošljite v obliki razširjenih povzetkov (do 4 strani vključujoč reference; ca. 2000 besed)
na naslov [email protected] (v naslov sporočila dodajte frazo "ISCOGSCI 2016").
Navodila za oblikovanje prispevkov (template) se nahajajo na strani IS multikonference
(http://is.ijs.si). Sprejeti prispevki bodo objavljeni v konferenčnem zborniku.

Rok za oddajo prispevkov: 11. september 2016.
Obvestilo avtorjem: 11. september 2016.
Rok za oddajo končne verzije prispevkov: September 16th, 2016
Datum konference: 13. oktobra 2016, Ljubljana, Institut "Jožef Stefan" (v primeru večje količini
sprejetih prispevkov pa še 14. oktobra 2016).
Nadaljnje informacije
Konferenca bo potekala predvsem v angleščini, sprejemali pa bomo tudi prispevke v slovenščini.
Vstop na konferenco je prost, avtorji prispevkov pa se morajo registrirati (na http://is.ijs.si) in
plačati kotizacijo. Za vse študente in alumne programa MEi:CogSci je prijavnina 50 eur, za vse
ostale pa 100 eur.
