Any security requirements that we need to follow:
El Paso Electric Company (EPE) will provide a rebate for a VendingMiser® ($200) or CoolerMiserTM. Because
EPE's energy efficiency funds are used to provide these devices to save energy, they must remain installed on
a refrigerated, non-perishable soft drink machine, or reach-in cooler, in a facility serviced by EPE for a period
of 7 years.
TO PARTICIPATE IN THE ENERGY MISER PROGRAM, YOU WILL NEED TO UNDERSTAND AND AGREE TO THESE TERMS:









Approved Machines: You will only use it on an active vending machine or reach-in cooler that is filled with sodas, waters,
power drinks, beer, or other non-perishable liquid items, or on a non-refrigerated snack machine that is filled with nonperishable snack items (such as cookies, crackers, or chips). The machine must be operated on a year-round basis.
EPE will not approve a Miser on a machine that is determined to be located in a round-the-clock high-traffic area.
You agree to grant EPE future access to the VendingMiser ® orCoolerMiserTM, to verify its installation, operation, or energy
savings.
The VendingMiser®, or CoolerMiserTM,is provided to you only as long as it is installed on an approved machine in a facility that
is served by EPE.
Because it only saves you money if it is operating properly, you agree that you will make every reasonable effort to make sure
that the VendingMiser®, or CoolerMiserTM,remains in the same condition as it was at the time of installation (upright sensor
bracket undamaged, sensor showing a green light, Miser not on the floor, Miser plugged into the wall, machine plugged into
the Miser, etc.)
You agree to not put anything in front of the sensor that will interfere with it identifying motion from patrons.
You agree to notify EPE at 915-521-4636 whenever the following happens so that we can better assist you and so that we can
keep track of the Miser's operation and energy savings:
o If you replace the original approved machine that has a Miser.
o If you relocate the original approved machine that has a Miser to another location
o If you remove the original approved machine that has a Miser and do not replace it with another approved machine.
You agree to try to prevent your vending services company from breaking it or removing it from the machine, and, if they do,
you will notify EPE.
Must be installed by an authorized installer. Contact EPE for more information on authorized installation.
