SAFETY ALERT
Safety Alert aims to pay attention to events that affect safety. With this Alert, we hope to
prevent the same type of events, in other words we share experiences. The following has
occurred;
De-ice truck hits horizontal stabilizer 2017-02-23
During turnaround the de-ice truck hits L/H horizontal stabilizer. The vehicle damaged
the front edge. The aircraft was grounded for further investigation.
IMPORTANT: The cargo and ground station information is a tool for Nextjet to inform their ground handling providers
about new operational procedures and directives or as a reminder in case the applicable routines and procedures are
not followed. The information distributed to the ground handling providers via a ground and cargo station information
serves as a temporary operating instruction and thereby overrides the information in Nextjet’s Ground Operations
Manual until a new revision is released.

Aircraft hit by belt loader 2017-03-30
Aircraft hit by belt loader during loading. The aircraft was grounded for further
investigation.

Ground damage to aircraft from luggage cart 2017-04-09
Handling was loading baggage at the same time as the aircraft was boarded. Since the
aircraft became heavier and heavier the aft of the aircraft lowered itself. The luggage cart
was placed underneath the tail and caused a 5-10 mm deep buckle under the cargodoor.
The aircraft was grounded for further investigation.
