The score was tied at 44 with 0:08.4 to play when Sophie Altholz(17) was intentionally
fouled and was sent to the foul line for two shots as the small crowd at RAMAZ remained deathly
silent. Sophie missed the first shot and took a deep breath before attempting the second shot
which went through the hoop to give SAR the final score. SAR now had to inbound the ball on
the side adjacent to the top of the key and promptly turned the ball over to RAMAZ who went
streaking down court for an attempted shot. Time ran out before that could be accomplished.
SAR took a first quarter lead of 15-8. Shira Gaffney hit a three from the top of the key as
the buzzer sounded to end the quarter. SAR continued its onslaught in the second quarter
leading 33-16 at the half.Adina Safdeye connected on a lay up as the buzzer sounded to end the
first half. RAMAZ started its comeback in the third quarter scoring 17 points,Hannah
Klapper(10) hit a jumper as the buzzer sounded to end the third quarter. SAR was leading 38-33
entering the fourth quarter.
Suzanne Schragg(16) also scored for SAR. The SAR team hit 18 Field Goals, Two threes
and went 3-6 from the foul line. Other scorers for RAMAZ were Nina Liebowitz(14) and Daniella
Sakhai(9). The RAMAZ team hit 16 Field Goals, Three threes and went 3-5 from the foul line.
