Bilingual Beginnings - University of Wisconsin

Bilingual Beginnings: Summer Language Immersion Camps
The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, in collaboration with the Children’s Nature Academy, is offering two-week language
immersion camps in Chinese, French, and Spanish for students going in to grades K-5 through 4 this coming fall. No exceptions
will be made to accommodate a child in a classroom that does not meet the grade level requirements. Enrollment is online
and begins March 1st. Once the program receives your online enrollment form your child’s name will be placed on a roster. A
non-refundable $10.00 supply fee should be received within 2 weeks of your online enrollment. This will hold your spot.
Paperwork will be emailed to families on May 1st and must be returned no later than June 1st. If your child is a resident in the
Eau Claire Area School District, the district will pay the tuition for each camp ($235) your child attends with the exception of
the $10 fee for each camp. Note: camps designated 1 / 2 mean they are for children going into those grades this fall.
Likewise, for 5K & 3 / 4.
The Children’s Nature Academy also offers other summer programming for school age children between the hours of 7am and
5:30pm. Registration deadline for Bilingual Beginnings is June 1st for Sessions 1 and 2; July 1st for Sessions 3 and 4

Please call the program directly if your child attends a morning and afternoon camp and you need care from 12:00 – 12:30. The
school district will pay for lunch for children that attend a morning and afternoon camp during the same time period. This can
be Bilingual Beginnings or Nature Nuts camp. We would like to make this transition as easy as possible for you and your child.
Please note: Under-enrolled camps may be subject to cancellation. The Nature Academy reserves the right to charge a late fee
if children are not picked up on time.
