At The Play Den, children are only offered water and
milk throughout the day. If you wish to provide a
smoothie (that counts as 1 of your child’s five a day)
we are happy to offer this at lunch time. We will not
offer squash or pure fruit juices as they can rot
enamel on teeth.
We will follow the advice of health professionals
regarding portion sizes and/or stop offering food
items if we feel you child is full. We will not offer
sweets, sugary snacks, chocolate or items that do
not meet our healthy eating policy.
Can we please also remind you to pack a
toothbrush and toothpaste (in a plastic food bag
or toothbrush holder) placed in your child’s
lunch box as we are encouraging all children to
brush their teeth at meal times.
Thank you in advance!
