California Advanced Homes Program Incentive Report Now Available in CBECC-Res and EnergyPro The most recent versions of CBECC-Res and EnergyPro give California Advanced Homes Program (CAHP) participants the ability to generate CAHP Incentive Reports (CIRs) directly from each software program. Through simple graphs and tables, the CIR enables participants to view basic project data, assess project energy use, and view the estimated CAHP score and incentive amount. The CIR replaces the UTIL-1R and ACR documents. Users of older software versions can still generate project CAHP scores and estimated incentive amounts with the CAHP Score & Incentive Tool available on the PG&E CAHP website. Please read on to learn how to install the software updates, and how to generate a CIR in CBECC-Res and EnergyPro. How to install software updates: CBECC-Res 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. Open EnergyPro Click on “Help” at the top of the window Select “Check for Updates” from the dropdown menu Click “Next” in the popup window How to generate a CIR: CBECC-Res 1. 2. 3. 4. Open your project in CBECC-Res Click “Tools” at the top of the window Select “Generate CAHP/CMFNH Report” When a window appears asking if you would like to view the report, click “Yes” **Please note, the CBECC-Res 2013 3b1 software has an error, which gives projects credit for the Low Energy Use and Ultra-Low Energy Use home bonuses even if they do not qualify. This artificially lowers the CAHP score by 10 points, and can falsely increase the CAHP incentive amount by up to $2,000. The CEC intends to resolve this issue in future CBECC-Res software updates. In order to calculate a project’s true CAHP incentive, look at the CAHP Score Initial on the CIR, and subtract points for all bonuses the project qualifies for from that score. Then use the following CAHP incentive structure to calculate the project’s incentive amount: $300 for program entry CAHP Score of 84 $100 for each point down to 75 $200 for each point thereafter In order to earn the Low Energy Use and Ultra-Low Energy Use bonuses, the total project TDV must be lower than 100,000 and 60,000 respectively.
