Helping Kids with Cancer, One Hug at a Time...™ Hugs for Brady’s Holiday Light Show Sponsor & Vendor Overview New Jerseys ONLY Holiday Light Show Thank you very much for your interest in becoming a partner with us on this amazing fundraiser opportunity. As of 2014, there has been no major holiday light event in the state of New Jersey, until now! Become a part of a yearly tradition for families during the largest shopping season of the year! The Event This fundraising event is meant to be a light show spectacle with a “fair” atmosphere. This will be an event that local families will want to bring their children to every year as a holiday tradition. The event will feature: 3 story ornament as entrance, 50ft animated light tunnel, 8 20ft+ giant light motifs that are interactive, animatronic 8ft tall snowman that talks with patrons, large food truck and food vendor area, glow igloo with snow machine inside, heated tents with over 87 vendor tables, free glow in the dark face painting, 1 auto sponsor with car in giant functional snow globe, photographer, and roast your own S’mores over campfire. The Main event is a 20 minute animated light show featuring: 3 story stage area, several 2 story trees, a jumbo-tron, snow machines, giant color changing balls tossed in the crowd, commercial snow machines and thousands of animated pixels to make an exciting musical show. Duration 35 Days from November 25th, Black Friday, until December 30th. The only closed day will be Christmas Day. During this period, most people have 7 week days off of no work around thanksgiving and the week after Christmas. Monday-Thursday will have 2 light shows from 5pm-9pm and Friday-Sunday will have 3 shows from 4pm-10pm. Location DeVry on Rt. 1 North Brunswick has been donated for the location of this event. We will be using their 1,200 parking space lot as well as overflow to an additional 1,500 spots near by providing us with parking for 8,000 patrons at one time. Turnover is once on weekdays and twice on weekends providing a max weekend attendance of 24,000. Advertising With 114,000 cars passing by our location a day with over 1,000 ft of open highway viewing, all local area homes will know of the event. 5 Large highway billboards will be up for 2 months, daily radio spots, appearance on TV and print, paid and free social media campaigns will all be employed. Our most innovative form of advertising the event is through a fundraiser format with all school districts within 30 min of the event. Each school district will be assigned a week night of the event where any student who attends, 10% of their ticket price will be donated to the school. In return these schools will be sending home fliers, email blasts, in school announcements and posting on their outdoor signs about our event. This will directly deliver an advertisement in the hands of over 178,000 local families. Thats a direct advertisement reach of over half a million individuals. With children and families being our primary demographic, we feel this will generate the most return. Rutgers cook campus is also walking distance from the event with 50,000+ students in attendance. Attendance With the data on the following pages, taking into account other light show attendance, other NJ event attendance, we expect between 100,000 and 200,000 attendees over 35 days or 2,857-5,714 daily attendance. The carnival held at this location yearly sees over 10,000+ per evening on the weekends, so we expect the same or higher on our 15 weekend nights. Additional Entertainment Vendors & Our Elements Additional vendors such as Glow in the dark face paint, photographer for family photos, and other artists will help to make the atmosphere festive. Our elements such as overhead lights, artificial snow during our light show, an animated light tunnel, singing animated trees, giant working snow globe for our raffle car, and an Animatronic Talking Snowman will all give the awe and wonder that we want every child to feel when entering our event. Demographics Local New Jersey Demographics New Jersey is the most densely populated state in the US with 8,958,013 people and a density of 1210.10/sq mi. The majority of this population lives in central and northern New Jersey, with greatest concentrations around the New York City area. Middlesex county is the second most populated county in New Jersey at 809,858. In a 25 min travel distance from the Devry location, there is 2.6 million residents. Within 1 hour from the Devry location, there are 5.1 million residents (this excludes manhattan which is within that hour radius) NJ Population Central to Rutgers 25 Min Drive Middlesex 809,858 Monmouth 630,380 Mercer 366,513 Somerset 323,444 Union 536,499 Total 1 Hour Around DeVry Population 2,666,694 1 Hour Drive Hunterdon 128,349 Morris 492,276 Essex 783,969 Hudson 634,266 Staten Island (15 min from location) 437,279 Total 2,476,139 Total population within 45 min drive 5,142,833 Other Christmas Light Shows Of the demographics we were able to obtain from other light shows around the country, the two shows that were closest with our demographics shows attendance at around 150,000 over the month. There are many small walkthrough shows, around the country, mainly at botanical gardens, but these were mainly a static walkthrough show. Numbers gathered for those events ranged from 35k-80k. New Jersey has an extremely high population per square mile, which results in a much higher population in close proximity to our event, which in turn will result in high attendance numbers.
