Supervisor Jamieson opened the meeting at 9:00am followed by a salute to the flag. Members present: Supervisor
Jamieson, Councilman Valentine, Councilman Wensley. Absent: Councilwoman Smith
As a public hearing had been set on the matter of adopting a new Local Law regarding Zoning Amendments on
July 12, 2017 at 7:00pm in advance of the local law being introduced, this special meeting was called by the
Supervisor.
RESCIND MOTION TO SET PUBLIC HEARING
ON A MOTION BY Councilman Medican and second by Councilman Valentine to rescind the motion made on
May 24, 2017 to set the public hearing on adopting the new local law regarding zoning amendments on July 12,
2017 at 7:00pm.

ON A MOTION BY Councilman Valentine and second by Councilman Medican to set a Public Hearing on
July 12, 2017 at 7pm on the matter of the Introductory Local Law of 2017, “A Local Law Amending Articles I, II,
V, VIII and IX of Chapter 98 “Zoning” of the Town Code to implement various recommendations of the 2015
Comprehensive Plan.” Said meeting to take place at the Town of Chester, Town Hall Meeting Room, 1786 Kings

RESCIND ACCEPTANCE OF BID FOR THE RESURFACING OF TENNIS COURTS AND REPAIR
OF FENCING AT CARPENTER FIELD
ON A MOTION BY Councilman Valentine and second by Councilman Medican to rescind the motion to accept
the quote from US Outworker in the amount of $36,848.00 for resurfacing the tennis courts and repair of the
fencing at the tennis courts at Carpenter Field.

RESCIND MOTION TO TRANSFER FUNDS
ON A MOTION BY Councilman Medican and second by Councilman Valentine to rescind the motion to
transfer the amount of $36,848.00 from the Town Parkland Fund fees to cover the cost of resurfacing the tennis
courts and repairs to the tennis court fencing.

BUILDING MAINTENANCE MECHANIC APPLICANTS
ON A MOTION BY Councilman Medican and second by Councilman Valentine to schedule a special meeting
on June 5, 2017 at 7pm for the purpose of conducting interviews for the position of Building Maintenance
Mechanic. Said meeting to take place at the Town of Chester, 1786 Kings Highway, Chester, New York.
VOTE AYES 4: Jamieson, Valentine, Medican, Wensley
ADOPTED
ON A MOTION BY Councilman Medican and second by Councilman Valentine to adjourn the meeting at
9:20am. Motion carried 4-0.
