This is not a race
Poker Run general description:
This event is a fund raiser for non-profit groups in each of the 3 counties around Jackson Lake. It helps
promote boating safety and encourages having a designated skipper to help keep the water ways on
Jackson Lake safe. Participants check in at one of the 3 marinas, receive instructions to locate 5 docks
dispersed on Jackson Lake where they’ll receive a sealed envelope with a playing card enclosed, and
giveaways from each dock sponsors. All participants reconvene at Reasor's Landing, where they will
receive lunch and tally the cards to see who has the best hand.

Times:
Registrations between 11 a.m. – 1 p.m
Gather cards: 1-4 pm
Check in & Lunch: between 3:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m
Winner announced: 6:00 pm
Live music: 3:30 p.m. – 7 p.m.

Boats: any style or type, this is not a race. Owners’ responsibility to operate boat in a safe manner
Can the Poker run be done by land? Yes it is not designed to be done by land, but nothing is
stopping you. We will provide the addresses to each location to receive a card.

Boat Parking: Dock space is limited at Reasor’s Landing. We will have a FREE shuttle boat running
continuously from dock to anchored boats. There will be a designated location to drop off your
passengers.

Shuttle Service: Continuous shuttle service from designated dock to your anchored boat. Drop off &
Pick up locations will be marked.

Fuel is available at all 3 Marinas.

Official Rules








Each participant will receive a goody bag when he/she registers, and it will include official rules, course
map/directions to docks, and a wrist band good for lunch at Reasor’s Landing.
This is not a race, however all participants must be registered at one of the marina’s between 11-1 pm.
Registration ends at 1:00.
Participants will visit 5 designated areas around the lake to pick up playing cards in any order you choose
between 1:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. EACH CARD RECEIVED MUST HAVE YOUR WRIST BAND NUMBER
WRITTEN ON IT, NO EXCEPTIONS. You are allowed to have more than one participant per boat.
However, you are only allowed one hand per participant.
You can purchase up to 3 additional cards per hand. If you purchase additional cards for your hand, you
will receive those cards at registration, only. MAKE SURE YOUR WRIST BAND NUMBER IS WRITTEN ON
THEM. No additional cards can be purchased at check in at the end of the Poker Run, only at registration.
There will be a picnic held at Reasor’s Landing starting at 3:30pm for all participants. Their families are
welcome, but only participants will receive free food. Hudson Road Band will be performing from 3:30
p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Join us for food, fun and prizes.
Due to limited boat parking at Reasor’s Landing, there will be a boat shuttle provided by Phillips Heating
and Air from the lake into the Marina if you wish to anchor your boat out.
YOU MUST BE INSIDE DESIGNATED AREA OR YOU WILL BE ASKED TO MOVE
Cards must remain in their sealed envelopes. Maximum of one card from each dock is allowed.
EACH CARD RECEIVED MUST HAVE YOUR WRIST BAND NUMBER WRITTEN ON IT, NO Exceptions. If
you do not make it to all 5 docks, we will provide you with cards at check in. Any envelope that has been
tampered with will be disqualified.
After you have gone to all the stops, bring all your cards in their sealed envelopes to Reasor’s Landing
for check in between 3:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. All participants must be checked in by 5:30pm. There
will be prizes for first through fifth place. In the event of a tie, participants will each select a new sealed
card and the highest card will win. Winners will be announced at 6:00 p.m. during the Picnic.
