Second Annual Evening Street PTA Dance-a-Thon Fundraiser
When: Friday, Oct. 7, 2016, during your child’s related arts period
Where: Evening Street Gym
Why: 100% of your donation is used at Evening Str eet Elementary to support our annual PTA activities, which include classroom
materials, technology, Supergames, Science Celebration, and playground renovations. Last year, we raised over $40,000! Let’s set
a new record of giving. Additional funds will be used to supplement our Classroom Mini-Gr ant Program. These grants are awarded
to our Evening Str eet teachers for innovative ideas to enhance student learning.

In appreciation for your support of Evening Street Elementary, every student collecting $50 or more will
receive a limited-availability car magnet for their family.
Our record-breaking family and business sponsors will be r ecognized at Evening Street with a donor
plaque:



“Silver ” for donations $250 to $499
“Gold” for donations $500 to $999
“Platinum” for donations $1000 and above.
All students who participate will be enter ed to win great raffle prizes! Return your pledges early to be eligible for all prize drawings,
starting Tuesday, Oct. 4. A shiny new bicycle courtesy of Drs. Hutta and Cook will be awarded to our grand prize winner at the
Dance-a-Thon. The classroom with the most par ticipation (tie-break will be per capita donation) will each receive a family swim
pass, courtesy of Goldfish Swim School! Raffle sponsors include: Columbus Blue Jackets, Columbus Crew SC, Dewey’s Pizza, Drs.
Hutta and Cook, The Gentle Dentist, Goldfish Swim School, Lazer Kraze, Movement Lab Ohio, Skyzone, The Wilds, Worthington
Community Center, and ZipZone Canopy Tours.
Don’t miss out on the fun! Parents are invited to join their students on the dance floor . Each grade will have a dance par ty theme—
dressing to match the theme is encouraged. Details and schedule ar e coming soon. Ms. Rykowski has agreed to be transformed into
a mega-rocker for the day! Each grade that meets their goal will have a chance to add to Ms. Rykowski’s costume. Plan to join us for
the staff wrap-up at the end of the day with our Principal Rock Star!
