League Match Result: After the resounding defeat at Swanston, glad to
report a return to an excellent result in the home match against
Ravelston Golf Club on Thursday 26 June. Another couple of members
were introduced to league golf with the overall 6-0 result maintaining our
top of the league position. It should be noted however that Craigmillar
Park are currently in second place with a single point less having played
one match fewer. We have of course won two away matches out of
three whereas they have only played two away matches resulting in a
win and a drawn match. There have been 27 members played in the
league programme so far.

The next league match is due to be played away against Mortonhall on
TUESDAY 5 July. All league results and updated league positions are
normally on the league website early in the week following the fixtures.

Block Booking: The next Stableford competition is due to be played
Wednesday 2nd / Thursday 3rd July and your Secretary will, as well as
playing, be in attendance on the Thursday and will be able to organise
other members wishing to play in the block booking.
Captain v Secretary Match: This is scheduled to be played on Thursday
10 July and at the moment no format has been decided. Members will
be emailed as soon as your committee has agreed in what manner this
should be played depending on the amount of interest.
Pairs Competition: There will be an entry sheet on the Seniors Section
notice board so that members can either enter with a chosen partner or
just enter and then paired up. There is also the option, in case of nonattendance at the club, to email the Seniors Section secretary who will
ensure their name is appended. Please note that the closing date for
entries will be Sunday 20 July. For this competition the trophy below
was kindly presented to the Prestonfield Gents Senior Section by your
treasurer Andy Deas.

Match Play Championship: All ties in the second round ties were played
on time and for those still in the competition remember the next round
must be played by 27 July. Any ties not played within the defined period
will result in both parties being eliminated so please contact your
opponent as there will no doubt be members on holiday.
Friendly Match v Duddingston: The return away friendly match against
Duddingston Golf Club is due to be played on Monday 18 August.
