ENTERTAINMENT 41 FRIDAY JANUARY 30 2015 Ellie hits ground running in support of Nike app LONDON: British pop star Ellie Goulding (pictured) is helping fans get fit and healthy this year by teaming up with Nike for the sports giant’s new training app. The Burn hitmaker, a keen runner, has helped Nike officials design a new 15-minute exercise regime for their Nike+ Training Club app, incorporating all of her favourite fitness moves to give users a full body workout. Discussing the A Melody of Movement campaign, which celebrates women’s fitness, Goulding says: “I feel quite proud to be an ambassador for women who realise that being fit is better than being skinny. “I like the fact that I can be that role model. I still think there’s a little bit of work to do with promoting fit, not thin. But it’s getting there.” Pratt favourite to take on Indiana Jones role in remix LOS ANGELES: Guardians of the Galaxy star Chris Pratt has emerged as the latest frontrunner to lead the cast in a planned Disney remake of Indiana Jones. Movie studio bosses are working with Star Trek director J.J. Abrams to relaunch the franchise and are keen to land Pratt (pictured) as its lead star, taking over Harrison Ford’s iconic role as the daredevil archaeologist, according to Deadline.com. Panic room saves celebs being prey By DARREN CARTWRIGHT BRISBANE: A panic room has been built into the set of I’m A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here! so the cast can escape immediate danger posed by wild animals. Co-host vet Dr Chris Brown has revealed the 10 celebrities would be instructed to use the panic room if a predator wandered on to the set. Already, a leopard has walked through the site where 10 celebrities will be sleeping under the stars in the South African jungle from Sunday. Brown says the most immediate problems will be two warring tribes of baboons in the hills, scorpions and ticks but there are leopards who pass through as well. “We’ve certainly got facilities if people are in immediate danger,” Brown said from the set of I’m A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here! “There is a place in the camp where they can seek refuge if necessary. “We had to shut down the camp because a leopard walk- Dr Chris Brown and Julia Morris host I'm a Celebrity get Me Out of Here. Picture: RICHARD DOBSON ed through the other day and we have a baboon war raging. “These guys may have some sleepless nights.” Network Ten will reveal the identities of the celebrities when it launches the first Australian season of the reality show. The vet says some celebrity names that have been mentioned in the press and on social media are correct but many guesses are way off. Brown says the celebrities will have to be careful about how they handle, dispose and store food otherwise they can expect baboons to drop by for a feed. “Baboons are up for any type of food and the moment they start cooking in the camp, it’s going to ramp up and they are going to steal food. “There are baboon proof lids on containers and the bin, but unless they put them on correctly and store food correctly, baboons may turn up.” The show is set within Kruger National Park, South Africa, and Brown asserts that the dangers posed are very real. “Before I came here I thought we were going to have to borrow a few animals from a nature park and have something slither through the camp just to scare a few celebrities,” he said. “Within a few minutes of being here I realised it was not necessary and I picked up five ticks in about four minutes the other day. “There are five guys embedded in the jungle, in camouflage gear, to look out for danger. “This isn’t the stuff of make believe, it’s very real.” Besides co-hosting the reality show with Julia Morris, Brown is using his time in South Africa to shoot episodes for Bondi Vet. He’s hooked up with a local veterinarian to assist with helping animals who have been the victims of illegal poaching or hunting. “They always need a hand out here so it’s great to be able to help out,” Brown said. î I’m A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here! launches on Sunday, February 1 at 6.30pm.
