WSO Tessen Team May 20, 2016 By Tom Schultz The "WSO Tessen Team" had a pretty good day yesterday, with lots of cool highlights -- including that Little Blue Heron that we found at Lake Maria (Green Lake Co.), which you heard about yesterday. I will post a full report later, but we ended up at the Manitowoc harbor where we found neat birds like Little, Bonaparte's, Great Black-backed and Lesser Black-backed Gulls, Ruddy Turnstone, and Caspian and Common Terns. Our bird total for the day appears to be 180 species, which we were pretty pleased with, but unfortunately we didn't find any great concentrations of warblers anywhere, and we had a few other misses of expected birds -- which certainly hurt our total a bit.
