Learning Objective: To review the basic content of each training

Learning Objective: To review the basic content of each training module and to assess the
knowledge base of participants.
 Time: approx. 5-10 minutes at the end of each module
 Materials: “Who Wants To Be a Millionaire?” PowerPoint slides, LCD projector, screen,
Facilitator’s Notes.
Methodology
“Who Wants To Be a Millionaire?” (with a spin):
The trainer should:
● Explain that:
○ “Who Wants To Be a Millionaire” is a famous TV game show.
○ We will be breaking up into 2 teams (assign participants to be on 2 teams, divided by either
each side of the room, or some other characteristic (people born January-June vs. JulyDecember for example).
○ At the end of each module, each team will take turns answering a question. If the team
chooses the incorrect answer, the other team gets a chance to answer.
● [Trainer Tip]: You can choose to use the 50/50, Call a Friend or Audience Poll if you wish or leave it
out to simplify the game. It is recommended that you leave it out if your audience is not familiar with
the game.
● Things to prepare ahead of time:
○ You can change the questions on the PowerPoint slides to customize.
○ Do a practice run through the slides. You will see that they are animated: you click once on
the money ladder, and the new amount is highlighted after a few seconds; you click once
on the question slide, and each possible answer appears slowly; click a second time and
the answer appears. Likewise, the very last slide has lots of fun animation.
● Participants will be split into two equal teams. We will play “Who Wants To Be a Millionaire?” with
each team taking turns at guessing at a series of multiple choice questions. We will play until we
reach the “million dollar question”.
● Explain the Game: [See above]
● Playing “Who Wants To Be a Millionaire?”:
○
The slides will do the work for you. When you open the slides in the slideshow mode, you
○
will see that they take you through the questions with very little work on the facilitator’s part
(questions and answers can be changed in order to customize the game).
Refer to the facilitator’s notes for the correct answer (will also be displayed on the screen)
and also a short explanation that you can read to the contestants!
