Account Manager Contract: Permanent. Full time. Salary: £20-£25k dependent on experience. Responsible to: WILD IN ART Director Working Relationships: Internal: marketing team, finance team and account directors. External: event partners, stakeholders, local authorities, sponsors and other cultural organisations. Office base: Whaley Bridge 2-3 days a week. Travel throughout the UK to event locations. Some weekend and overnight stays. Location: BACKGROUND Wild in Art is one of the world’s leading creative producers of mass-appeal public art events which bring together communities across all sectors to collaborate in the creation of citywide trails of uniquely painted sculptures. The role of Account Manager will be crucial in allowing us to meet our growth plans and vision for the future. You will join a small dedicated team who all play a part in supporting our Event Partners, collaborating and contributing to our on-going development. Once you have spent time with us, understanding the ropes and meeting your colleagues, you will be given accounts to manage and grow. Agree measures of success for all. Create a communication strategy prior to the event and be the lead contact throughout. Empower the Event Partner to deliver the event whilst managing critical goals in the timeline of each event. Manage the link between Wild in Art’s internal experts; marketing, finance and creative producers and the Event Partner. Build trust and value with Event Partners and all other stakeholders. Report progress to your Director and highlight opportunities for add on events and future growth. Recognise and act upon opportunities to develop relationships with local partners, venues, cultural organisations and sponsors where possible. Regularly attend meetings, face to face, telephone and Skype, making sure that all parties understand the events progress and next steps. Project Management: Ensure there is a smart and clear prioritisation of project delivery. Engage with Wild in Art finance team to work on the event budget and maximise the sales opportunities of our sculptures. Flag up any budget issues and manage their solution, via finance and Event Partners. Drive creative ambition within the project. Update Wild In Art’s project management tool throughout the life cycle of the event. Attend installations and trouble shoot when necessary. Attend launch of events, art selection events, farewell events and auctions. Record best practice and share with the wider Wild in Art team, allowing us to constantly evolve our offer. © Wild in Art 2016 | 22 Market Street | Whaley Bridge | High Peak | SK23 7LP T: 01663 308088 | E: [email protected] | www.wildinart.co.uk Marketing: Act as the marketing lead on selected Wild in Art partner-led events and projects, supporting event and project partners with their marketing activity to include: Ensure our Event Partner has advice on the creation of a marketing strategy and PR plan. Provide Event Partners with all necessary marketing support materials. Be Wild in Art’s brand ambassador, ensuring sight and sign off of marketing and event collateral prior to entering the public domain. Be the first point of contact for press releases. Participate in regular update calls Gather examples of marketing collateral, sponsor activation, statistics and testimonials. Support Wild in Art event evaluation activity. Ensure that event partners fulfil their contractual obligations with regard to all aspects of marketing activity and that Wild in Art fulfil our marketing-related licensing obligations as agreed in contracts. Post Event Management. Carry out post event meetings to capture feedback and inspire our Event Partner to build Wild in Art events into their future plans. Produce case studies that will allow Wild in Art to improve, educate and where possible share with future Event Partners. Review the measures of success and produce a report for all internal and external stakeholders. PERSON SPECIFICATION Essential An interest in delivering projects within the arts/ creative field. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organisational and time management skills. An eye for detail. Ability to gain trust and influence people. Experience of leading face to face meetings. Able to manage multiple relationships across different sectors. I.T. literate with skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and confident in using project management and content management systems. Able to travel with some overnight stays and some weekend work. Desirable Digital media experience. Budget Management experience.
