GSM Pager3 Z6 Reference guide Application of the device as a mini alarm control panel For module version v3.10 and higher Rev. 1.0 25.10.2011 This guide shows an example and instructions on how to use the GSM Pager3 Z6 module as a mini alarm control panel in a system with four detectors operated by remote control. 1 Wiring diagram 2 2 Zone settings Configure the zones according to the figure above: from zone 1 to zone 4: normally closed (N.C.) set the zone sensitivity to 2 tenths of a second enter the entry and exit delay for the corresponding zone(s) if necessary, enable 24 hour zone(s) (e.g. smoke detector, panic button 3 3 Phone number settings Enter the user phone numbers to be notified by GSM voice call in “1…4 Phone number” fields, then configure the confirmation method for each (pressing key confirms, key # stops the given event). If the “Arm/Disarm” setting is selected at “Caller ID” option, then the user can arm/disarm the system by free call (first call arms, next call disarms). In “SMS forwarding 1” field enter the user phone number to which the module should forward SMS messages received on its SIM card. 4 4 Event settings In “T1…T4” checkboxes, enable which events should be notified by GSM voice call to which user phone numbers. If custom voice message was recorded for the given event, then enable this in the “Voice Msg.” column. In “S1…S4” checkboxes, enable which events should be notified by SMS to which user phone numbers, then enter the messages in the “SMS messages” fields. 5 5 Relay output settings Enable “Z1…Z4 Alarm” events in “RELAY1” checkboxes, so that these events activate the relay output. Set the relay activation (alarming) time at “Max. ON time” option (e.g. 240 seconds). Enable “Beep on Arm/Disarm” option, if it is required that the siren signals on arming and disarming. Enable “Turn off Relay 1 on Disarm” option, so that the siren turns off on disarm, if the system was just in alarm. 6 6 Alarm settings Select mode 4 for “Arm/Disarm method” and enable “Arming is not allowed if any zone is active” option. Set the “Test report frequency” expediently to 168 hours, then at “Test report time” option enter the time of day when the test report should be sent. Set the “Maximum number of alarms per zone” expediently to 3-5 alarms. 7
