Priority
The Assurance Planning Quick Reference Guide serves as the key
reference point for PQAF Assurance planning tools. The guide
summaries the planning approach, integration with governance
and QA life cycle planning frameworks, key components of a plan
(terms of references), typical deliverables, guidance on
implementation and planning time lines and horizons, quality
procedures, acceptance criteria, key assumptions, risks and risk
based approach, dependencies and responsibilities for the
planners. The guide will be tested and improved for our use
community and published for members and the public to access.

This deliverable is one of the key deliverables from this working
group and a draft ready for user testing is expected before then
end of 2016.

The purpose of the Guide is to:

Objectives and
deliverable purpose

Provide information to members and the public developing
or consuming Assurance information or products to assist
with developing formal assurance plans or checking the
integrity of plans prepared for them to consume by
assurance suppliers.
The Quick Reference guide is not intended to be an
exhaustive source of guidance or training material for
assurance planning however it may support further scope
and activity to improve PQAF assurance planning materials
in future tranches of work.

a plan for completeness in their circumstances
Provide a single source of reference about the planning
process so that people joining the ‘temporary organization’
can quickly and easily find out what the assurance approach
and plan are about, and how quality assurance is being
managed.
Provide Confidence to various stakeholders as to the
Assurance planning and Delivery approach, controls and
monitoring.
