Beat the Heat!
It is a top priority for Husker Summer Camps to keep campers safe in the extreme daytime temperatures.
Outside activities ares scheduled for
morning activity blocks, when temperatures
are coolest during the camp day.
Campers are encouraged to take their water
bottles with them everywhere they go and
are given opportunities to fill up prior to being
outside and throughout the day.
In addition to good hydration, remember to
pack a lunch full of energy boosting,
nutritious foods for your child.
Send your camper to camp with sunscreen
already applied to their skin. Feel free to send
additional sunscreen as well. Your child is
given opportunities to reapply throughout the
day.
