Here's information about the upcoming Husker Kids™ and Husker Adventures™ activities and points-ofemphasis to make a great camp experience for all. Let us know if you have questions or if there is a way we can make a better experience for your child. Visit our Website Beat the Heat! It is a top priority for Husker Summer Camps to keep campers safe in the extreme daytime temperatures. Outside activities ares scheduled for morning activity blocks, when temperatures are coolest during the camp day. Campers are encouraged to take their water bottles with them everywhere they go and are given opportunities to fill up prior to being outside and throughout the day. In addition to good hydration, remember to pack a lunch full of energy boosting, nutritious foods for your child. Send your camper to camp with sunscreen already applied to their skin. Feel free to send additional sunscreen as well. Your child is given opportunities to reapply throughout the day. Summer Camp Must Knows MEDICATION If any type (OTC or prescription) is required to be administered by the summer camp staff, a "Participant Medication and Instruction Form" must be submitted. All medication must be in its original container. VALUABLES We request your campus leave all items of sentimental or monetary value at home, including cell phones. Husker Summer Camps provides all equipment and supplies necessary for the camp day. SOUVENIR T-SHIRT T-shirts are given to campers on the first day of their first camp session. If you do not receive a shirt or if you would like a different size please let staff member know. LOST & FOUND There is a lost & found station located on Ct. #4. Inquire about lost items during check-in/check-out. We request that camp t-shirts be worn on Field Trip days. Label all camper belongings w/ their name, including swim wear. lunches, water bottles, etc. Check-In & Check-Out Late Arrivals Early Departures Court #4 Exterior Doors These entry doors are locked at 8:40 a.m. and reopen at 3:55 p.m. All other drop-offs and pick-ups occur at the Intramural Sports/Summer Camps office, room #56. Door closes 8:40 a.m. Door reopens 3:55 p.m. Late Arrivals + Early Departures To better serve our camp participants, we will offer three (3) primary shuttle times: 10:00 a.m. Noon 2:00 p.m. Shuttlesto and from camper groups are done as close to these times as possible. If your camper arrives outside of these times, our staff will do their best to take your camper to their group, but only as theschedule permits. I.D. Requirement Photo identification must be shown at check-out. I.D.s are checked EACH day to ensure camper safety. Campers will have the opportunity to try different styles of fitness activities.
