Open Nordic Championships for Club Teams, Men and Women
and Stockholm DM
Stockholm, Sweden, October 3-5, 2014
The Water Polo Committee has hereby the great pleasure to invite the two best teams of the
Nordic Federations to the Open Nordic Championships for Club Teams, NCC in
Eriksdalsbadet, Stockholm, October 3-5 2014. If these places are not filled these places can
be taken by lower ranked first league teams.
Please forward this invitation to teams concerned!
The format of the competition will be decided after having received your entries.
The proposal for the men’s tournament is that all teams will be seeded into two groups. A
Round-Robin-system will first be used followed by ranking matches. The format of the
women’s tournament will also be decided after the expiry of the entry date. Entries after
September 1st will not be accepted.

Participating teams:
Two teams of each federation, primarily teams ranked 1st and 2nd.
Referees:
Each team is requested to bring one referee. The organiser will
appoint the referees.
Date:
The tournament will start on Friday October 3rd at 1900 h and finish
on Sunday October 5th at 1600 h.
Accommodation:
We kindly ask the participating team to book accommodation
themselves, see enclosed proposals.
Meals:
Upon request meals can be ordered from the pool-side restaurant.
Swimming pool:
The National Arena - Eriksdalsbadet Swimming Pool. Maximum
measurements according to FINA rules. If the number of teams is
very large, we may, however, need to play on 25m playing fields.
We strongly advise participants to bring pad-locks for the changing
room lockers.
Order of play:
The schedule will be decided according to the number of teams.
Consideration will be taken to arrival and departure times of the
teams. According to the decision of the NWPC all teams must be
prepared to start to play on Friday evening and finish on Sunday
afternoon. Preferably no team should play more than three games
per day.
Conditions:
Each club will bear its own costs of travel, transfer, meals and
accommodation.
