SUBMISSION OF YOUR RESULTS:
UK/Home fee status students should send a copy of their results to: [email protected]. PGCE students
must submit their original certificates.
International and EU fee status students should send a copy of their results to:
[email protected].
Pearson test results must also be referred on-line via the Pearson website. Once you have referred your results on-line
you should email admissions (relevant @ address as detailed above) to notify us that you have done so.
WHAT OPTIONS DO I HAVE IF I DO NOT ACHIEVE THE REQUIRED GRADE(S)?
If you do not quite achieve the required grades you may be eligible to take one of the University’s Pre-Sessional
English programmes (PSE) to develop your level of English to the required standard for entry. If you have already
applied for a programme at the University, you do not need to submit a separate application form for the PSE. You
should email [email protected] with a copy of your current English language test results
and request to be considered for the PSE. Admissions will then assess your eligibility and issue you with a formal
decision.
PRE-SESSIONAL ENGLISH




An intensive course (26 hours per week of classes) for students who need to develop their English.
Covers the necessary English language skills for study a degree e.g; citation, essay writing and presenting.
Courses are in the summer, finishing just before your degree starts in September.
If you obtain the required grades in your PSE, you will not be required to retake an approved test.
*IELTS test must be taken at a UKVI approved test centre*

PRE-MASTERS CERTIFICATE
The Pre-Masters Certificate (PMC) is for students who want to study subject content as well as English. Applications

Applicants should include the following with their applications; copy of academic certificates and transcripts (including
English test results) and an academic reference.



These courses help students whose first language is not English to develop the language skills, study skills and
subject knowledge necessary for success on a degree programme in the UK.
The Fast Track Programme, commencing in January, is for students with a higher level of English.
There are pathways for students who want to study various subjects and an ‘open pathway’, which can be
tailored to suit the needs of individual students.
