Remarks
Object:
To confirm previous
objections remain:
 The proposed
development is not
consistent with the
character and
appearance of the local
landscape;
 The proposed site is
open countryside and at
the heart of the National
Forest;
 The proposed
development is outside
the established urban
area of Ashby de la
Zouch;
 The proposed location
has been given the
landscape quality value
of 9 which is the highest
value of all the sites in
Ashby and there is only
one other site in the

Extension to existing industrial

District which equals it;
 The proposed
development is not in
accordance with the
National Planning
Policy Framework
(NPPF) in terms of
achieving and
delivering sustainable
development and
conserving and
enhancing the natural
and historic
environment;
 The street scenes of the
proposed development
are out of character with
the surrounding area.
They are a poor and
unsympathetic design;
 There are concerns
regarding the ingress
and egress from the site
from Willesley Road.
The fact that the County
Council has installed
speed bumps would
seem to indicate that
there are concerns with
speeding on that part of
the road.
No objections.

9
No objections.
To strongly object to the
proposed development:
 The access through
Woodcock Way is
unsuitable and will have
significant traffic
implications for
Nottingham Road which
is already congested.
With 15000 cars a day
passing along the road;
 The Town Council had
concerns about the
traffic implications of
the previous application
when 30 dwellings were
using Woodcock Way,
this development is for
70 dwellings;
 In the light of large
scale planning
applications already
approved for Ashby the
sustainability of the
location and the ability
of the towns

No objections.
The concept of

supported. However the

 As the development is
