The training prepares individuals to begin or sustain the appropriate use of this evidence-based practice. (You will receive an attendance certificate for 24 hours.) Who Should Attend? This workshop is for social workers, psychologists, counselors, and others interested in the practice of CBT. Participants will discuss and learn basic concepts and techniques of the Cognitive Behavioral Model Participants will discuss and learn effective CBT exercises and strategies to utilize and apply as therapeutic interventions with clients Participants will review the clinical disorders and diagnosis that are most effective to respond to CBT treatment Participants will review various clinical inventories that are useful CBT assessment tools Participants will be evaluated throughout the training process to gage the understanding of material Faculty: Danielle Coleman Danielle has over fifteen years of experience working with children and families. She obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and her Master’s Degree in Social Work. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, a Licensed School Social Worker, a member of the Academy of Certified Social Workers, and a Clinical Supervisor for practicing social workers. She maintains a professional membership with the National Association of Social Workers, and sits on the Community Advisory Board for the Department of Social Work at UNCCharlotte.
