2017 Aspects Art Show Goondiwindi P&A Society Show Terms and Conditions of Entry 1. An entry to the 2017 Goondiwindi Aspects Art Show is deemed valid if it consists of: (1) original art work not previously exhibited at the Goondiwindi Aspects Art Show; and not more than 12 months old. (2) art work being marked with the section, artist's name, address, art work title, sale price or NFS; (3) a separate entry form being completed and fee paid per art work; (4) where applicable freight costs being paid; (5) each piece being matted, mounted or framed, and ready for hanging (except for 3D entries); the entry form being submitted before17th April 2017 and the work arrives: (6) with respect to non-local entries, by 5pm Tuesday 25th April 2017 to: (a) Goondiwindi Show Grounds, Secretary's office (b) courier; (c) Landmark, Lot 2, Wilson Court, Goondiwindi; (d) Caltex Service Station, Old Cunningham Hwy, Goondiwindi; (e) Crisps bus service depot The Tobacco Station, McLean St. Goondiwindi; or (7) with respect to local entries being hand delivered between 9am-12noon Thursday 27th April 2015 to the Visual Arts Pavilion, Goondiwindi Showgrounds. 2. Entries not satisfying the above conditions are deemed invalid, removed from display, ineligible for any prize, and the entry fee will be forfeited to the Secretary. 3. NO LATE ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED. 4. No entrant will be eligible to enter more than 6 entries, and no more than 2 works per section. 5. In consideration of payment of an entry fee to the Secretary of the Aspects Art Show, each entrant has accepted the following terms and conditions: (1) art work must be completed before entry; (2) no finishing touches can be added to art work in the hanging area; (3) no art work shall be removed from the exhibition prior to 4.00p.m. on Saturday 6th May 2017; (4) entries cannot be removed without the Steward’s consent; (5) the decision of the judge is final; (6) art work can be reproduced for television, print and electronic media; (7) an entry may not be withdrawn, nor any conditions of its sale be changed; (8) any expense with respect of forwarding, packing, returning and insurance of an entry is that of the entrant; (9) badly framed works will not be hung; (10) the Steward may hang art work in a section other than that designated by the entrant if such work does not comply with the requirements for such section; (11) work being entered in the digital artwork adult and junior sections must be original art work created using a computer or ipad. If using a digital photograph the artwork must have very obvious artistic manipulation applied. No enhanced photographs will be accepted; the work must have new artistic elements introduced. Photos of performance art are accepted. (12) the Steward reserves the right to exclude any entry; (13) art work violating copyright or deemed by the Steward as libellous in regard to known persons or well-known characters will not be permitted; (14) a commission of 27.5% will be charged for each work sold with a tax invoice supplied to the entrant; (15) acquisition prize money can be withdrawn under conditions of the Acquisition. (16) all entry fees are GST inclusive; (17) invoices will be provided by the Secretary upon request; (18) unless otherwise notified by the entrant, the Secretary will deem all entrants not in business for GST purposes; (19) prize money is GST exclusive (unless the entrant is registered for GST whereby the Secretary will add 10% of the value of the prize money to the prize money and the prize money will only be paid to the entrant when the entrant provides a tax invoice (prize money plus 10%) to the Secretary); and, (20) each entrant releases and indemnifies the Secretary, the Steward, the Goondiwindi P & A Society and their employees, agents, contractors, assigns and volunteers from any damage, expense, loss or cost incurred by or to the entrant regarding the delivery of art work to and from Aspects Art Show, the display of art work (including the provision of any prize money) at the Aspects Art Show. (21) An ‘emerging artist’ can enter section 10 only under conditions whereby they have embarked upon their career within the last 3 years, and have not been the recipient of a major prize in an art competition.
