Vapormatic have introduced a new range of viscous fans and also increased our range of
belt tensioners. Helping keep tractors cool, particularly in the lead up to the summer. If your
tractor is getting hot, either of these components may not be working correctly and changing
them could solve the problem. The spring in fan belt tensioner deteriorates over time and
doesn’t keep the fan belt at the required tension, allowing it to slip. The fluid inside the
viscous coupling can also deteriorate over time preventing it from locking up fully, as a result
the fan will turn at less than the intended speed. Not cooling the engine properly and costing
more in fuel to power the tractor.
