Position: Head of School
Purpose of the job:
Future Nation Schools is seeking to appoint two Heads of School for their two campuses, Lyndhurst
and Fleurhof.
Key responsibilities








Be fully conversant with the 21st century methods of teaching, administration and
management
Effectively manage Foundation phase, Senior phase and High school
Assess, monitor and evaluate the quality of planning, teaching and of learning outcomes,
promoting improvement strategies as necessary
Staff management and development
Be responsible for improvement of the school – ensuring action plans are in place and
monitored vigorously
Ensure the day-to-day management structures, systems and processes work effectively in
line with key priorities
Work collaboratively with the Leadership Team and middle managers to ensure school
improvement is sustained and to deliver quality outcomes for students
Promote and model good relationships with parents/stakeholders which are based on
partnership to support and improve children’s achievement and promote parenting skills
generally
Requirements




Ten years teaching experience of which five years must be at management level
Outstanding candidate with proven record of teaching and management excellence
Have a broad understanding of different curricular especially project based teaching and
learning
SACE registration
Qualifications

Relevant degree and/or postgraduate degree
