These items are applicable for both sixth grade teams. It is our hope that by providing this list in May your family will be able to take advantage of the summer sales. Please contact Mrs. Lapinski, Strayer’s Principal, prior to the first day of school, if purchasing these items presents a financial difficulty. In-School Supplies to Organize Binder (Bring to school on the first day) o o o o o One (1) 3”-4” Durable View binder (clear plastic window cover & interior pockets) Five (5) Single subject spiral notebooks (with holes)—1 for each core subject Five (5) Pocket Folders/portfolios (with holes)—assorted colors One -5 pack plastic ring binder pockets (Avery) For Chorus or Combo students—One (1) Pocket Folder/Portfolio (with or without holes) General Supplies (Bring to school on the first day) o o o o o o o o o o o o o o Pencil pouch (soft-sided with 3 holes to go inside binder) Calculator (TI30xIIS) Earbuds or earphones USB Flash Drive (1 GB or more) Box of 12 sharpened pencils ( pencils are a MUST for math) Red Pens(4) Colored pencils-1 pack Highlighters(2) Post-it notes Glue sticks(4 Large) Extra pencil erasers(1 pack of 12) Hand-held pencil sharpener Lined notebook paper (1 pack with holes) Dry erase markers(4 pack thick Supplies that may be useful to have at HOME o o o o o o o o Stapler Hole Punch Hole reinforcements (round stickers to prevent page holes from tearing) Scissors Additional glue sticks An extra calculator so the one in school does not need to be brought home each day Pencil Sharpener Additional colored pencils, markers Please note that Gym Suits will NO longer be available for purchase. Acceptable clothing for gym includes the following: o T-Shirt—short or long-sleeved/ white, blue or gray in color/NO scooped or low cut T-shirts Gym Shorts or Sweatpants—white, blue or gray in color/ tights may be worn under the shorts o Sneakers Clothing for gym will be needed during the second week of school. Organization Tips (Do before the first day of school) Consider color-coding by subject-- For example, the spiral notebook and pocket folder for math would be the same color.
