HAPPY NEW YEAR! We had a great kick off to 2017. The children
were excited to get back into the groove of school and begin a brand
new study.
For the next few weeks, we will be studying balls. Our investigations
will include: Do all balls bounce? Do all balls roll? What makes balls
move? Who uses balls? What are balls made of?
We started exploring the topic by gathering many different types of
balls. Many children brought some from home to add to our collection
to use throughout our investigations. We promise to take good care of
them and send them back home towards the end of the study.
As we talked, explored, and read about balls this week, the children
generated a chart: What do we know about balls? Monday we will start
a new chart: What do we want to find out about balls? These questions
will lead to our first investigation.
