Upon This Rock. This diverse cast of both professional
and amateur actors and singers never disappoints!
From the soulful music to the enchanting silhouette
of choreographed dance, every song sung, every word
spoken, and every move made points the audience
to the passion
of the Christ!
Emotions range
from tearful
sorrow as Jesus
hangs life-less
on the cross
during the
crucifixion
scene to footstomping cheers
and shouting as the flames of pyrotechnics declare
the victory of Christ as he takes the keys from death,
hell and the grave.
The Upon This Rock Passion Play is one of the largest
and longest running Passion Plays in the nation.
The annual production features new and unique
state-of-the-art LED backdrops introduced in 2014
that brings to life each biblical scene, coupled with
the powerful sounds of the Upon This Rock choir,
stage vocals, soloists and dancers.
Each year always presents something new and fresh
that enhances the passionate gospel story of our Lord
and Savior Jesus Christ that you won’t soon forget.
Thirty-three years later and the story lives on!
