TRAINEE
CARPENTER
Company: Persimmon Homes South East
Location: Maidstone ME15 6SJ
There are 4 positions available for new apprentices to join the
carpentry team at Persimmon Homes South East as trainee
carpenters. Working with the Trainee Supervisor and site team on joist,
roof, first fix, and second fix carpentry works. Learning about Health &
Safety on site. Gain hands on experience, which will lead to a career in
the house building industry.
You will be:




Working outdoors
Working at heights
Working on own initiative at times or within a team
Heavy lifting
You will be required to travel to sites in reasonable locations.
Desired Skills: To have completed a carpentry/joinery course at
college.
Desired Personal Qualities: Ambitious, Able to work as part of a
team, dedicated, reliable, punctual, hardworking and keen to learn.
You will be completing a NVQ Diploma Level 2 in Wood
Occupations course over 2 years; this will involve day release to
college once a week.
Working Hours: 5 days a week – 39 hours
Salary: £5.30 per hour
Closing Date: 31st July 2017
