Dear Prospective Financial Aid Applicant,
Thank you for your interest in the thirtieth session of William & Mary High School Model
United Nations! The W&M International Relations Club is dedicated to providing educational
opportunities for all students regardless of their financial background, and is excited that this
year we are able to waive registration fees for those in need hoping to attend WMHSMUN 30.
Aid will be granted to schools and individuals based on need, in conjunction with demonstrated
fundraising efforts. Delegations can apply to have the delegate ($65), and/or delegation ($55)
fees waived. To be eligible for WMHSAid, delegations must be registered for WMHSMUN
before applying.
Applicants will be notified of any financial assistance by September 28th, to ensure that
delegations who do not receive sufficient aid do not have to pay the late drop fee (the delegation
fee), which is imposed after September 30th, 2016. By this date, delegations should either accept
their financial aid package, or contact the Registration Director to change their registration
status in order to obtain a full refund.

Sponsors and delegates may fill out the application together, but only one application should be
submitted per school. Applications must be approved and signed by a sponsor. Questions can be

As this is the paramount year of WMHSAid, we have a limited amount of funding and
unfortunately will likely only to be able to provide aid to a small number of delegations. If your
delegation is dependent on financial assistance in order to attend, we suggest that payments
towards transportation or lodging be postponed until you receive the status of your aid request.
Since aid is given in the form of waiving delegate and delegation fees, schools that are granted
WMHSAid will simply not have to pay these fees to the Registration Director. Please note that
a reduction in the delegation size of a school that was awarded financial aid will result in the
proportional reduction of the awarded financial aid package.

truthful for your school and delegation. Additionally, you understand the policies outlined
above and the listed preconditions that must be met before receiving aid.
