Information about the City
 Sofia is the capital of Bulgaria and is the biggest city within the country. It is
situated in the valley under the mountain Vitosha . Sofia is the main administration,
industrial, cultural , transportation and intellectual center within the country. In
the city concentrated one sixth of the industry production of Bulgaria.
 The City area is 1 311 sq.m. Sofia is situated 550 m. over the altitude.
 Sofia is the 12th biggest city in the European union
 The city is one of the oldest in Europe because it has 7000 years history.
 Since 4 April 1879 year, Sofia is the capital of Bulgaria

History of Feba lab
 In 2009 year ,The test laboratory “ Feba Lab” was created. The company
follows the latest requirements of the European and International
regulatory in the area of analyzing food, beverage, water and cosmetics.
 The laboratory is part of “F AND B ANALYSIS”JSC. The company received its
registration in 2007 year. The main goal of the laboratory is to analyze
food, beverage, water and cosmetics.
 In our activities we use the principles of the good laboratory practices and
the requirements of Bulgarian State Standard (BSS) EN ISO/IEC
17025:2006.

Policy of the company
 The test laboratory “FEBA LAB” has main goal for satisfying its clients' needs in the
area of high quality service. Our policy is to follow the requirements of Bulgarian
State Standard EN ISO/IEC 17025:2006. The aim is to maintenance of our
accreditation which is given from Bulgarian Accreditation Agency.
1) In our quality manual “ FEBA LAB” documented its operating system for quality
management trough regulation of all processes and responsibilities within the
company. This is evidence that all processes are planned in advance and they are
monitored.
2) The system for quality management and its documents are also synchronized
with the changing external environment. In its implementation we have taken into
account: level of technique, legislative requirements, market needs, type of
service, customer expectations and their satisfaction, selection, training and
motivation of employees, environmental protection, and the economic
considerations.

3) “FEBA LAB” declare that we will provide the necessary conditions as:
-We will work for our clients by using the good laboratory practices and the best
quality for analyzing .
-The company will follow the necessary requirements of Bulgarian State
Standard EN ISO/IEC 17025:2006;
- We will constantly update our Quality management system;
4) Our management and staff have committed to carry out activities to ensure the
highest quality of our test results, in order to have full satisfaction of our customer
needs.
5) The management of the company declare that everybody from our staff is
familiar with relevant documents of our quality management system (QMS) and
implement the principal of our policy in their work.
6) The management of “FEBA LAB” is obliged to update and use its QMS by
following the Bulgarian State Standard EN ISO/IEC 17025:2006. The company has
obligation to provides workforce and finance, in order to follow this standard.

Goals of Feba Lab
 In order to follow our policy, the management of Feba Lab have set the following
objectives:
- Main goal of the quality management system is to provide accuracy, precision
and reliability of laboratory results, so that they are reliable, reproducible and
defensible. Quality of the test results is described in at least the following
parameters: uncertainty, accuracy, precision, reproducibility and repeatability.
- Secondary goal is to maintain national and international recognition of the
laboratory by comparison with the relevant standards.
- Third goal is to have adequate answer to the wants and needs of our clients
-Last but not least, to maintain the brand image and the good reputation of the
laboratory in terms of quality through continuous improvement of processes and
prevent problems.

Sampling
 Feba lab offers performing sampling by trained sampler and own transport
 Sampling is an important part of our business, so that is established as a private
sector activity.
 We are aware that providing a "representative" sample / sample is a key
prerequisite for the correctness of the analysis.
 Representativeness is provided to us by following the procedures for sampling,
which means that it is taken by our sample. It gives information on the total
quantity.
 Our specialists carry out sampling at the place specified by the client, by
issuing a "Statement of sampling.

Physicochemical tests
 Within the laboratory there is physicochemical sector. We use this sector to
analyze fifteen different groups of products. For our analysis we use standardized
and verified laboratory methods.
 The sector consists of four rooms: routine analysis, hardware and related service Part hygiene and storage sector;.
 In this sector we are doing analysis not only by using routine chemical and
physical methods but by applying the tools (tech) methods.
 Physicochemical sector has automated apparatus "Keltek"for the protein;
apparatus for "Soksle; liquid chromatograph equipped with UV-Vis and RI
detector; polarimeter and others.
 Our staff that is working in this sector is highly skilled and is composed of chemists
and biotechnologists.

 All methods are defined in product groups. Our biggest attention is on the
processes of:
- Preparation of samples for analysis
- Preparation and verification of devices and methodologies;
- Monitoring of technological methods of measuring devices and testing - internal
controls and calibration;
- Presentation of the results;
- Training, teamwork and monitoring of our staff;

Microbiology
 Microbiological laboratory “Feba Lab "consists of laboratory space for
microbiological testing, microbiological kitchen, room for preparing the culture
media, washing room and a room for decontamination.
 The laboratory is equipped with modern equipment to guarantee the possibility of
analyzing a large number of microbiological tests including : autoclaves, sterilizers,
refrigerators, thermostats, apparatus for anaerobes, microscopes, counters and
other colonies.
 Class II laminar secure the operator, product and the environment.

 Microbiological analysis of the foodstuff could be divided into two groups –analysis
for determining the microbiological quality and analysis for determining food
safety, including tests for food pathogens

Competitive Advantages
 We conduct sampling at our expense. By using the specially trained and certified
sampler. Samples are transported from us using our specialized cars. Samples
themselves are stored and transported under the standard set by the temperature.
 Feba lab ensure that tests are done on the test method, which is listed in the
standards for accreditation. Therefore, we take five samples from each batch that
is designed for study. In this way the customer can be 100% sure of the result
recorded in the minutes released by us.
 Our company wishes to have regular contact with our clients to receive different
opinions, suggestions and complaints on the basis on which to improve the way of
working.

Future plans
 Because we are a newly established laboratory analysis of food, water, beverages
and cosmetics, our plans are to raise a number of clients with which to work
towards a sustainable cooperation.
 To improve our equipment and train our employees with the latest trends in the
industry to complete and quality service to our customers.
 Last but not inconsequential plan is to extend the accreditation to have the
opportunity to do absolutely all the researches for which we have requests from
our customers.
