FIFA 17 - Ultimate Team - Regulations General 1.1 This page contains the comprehensive rules governing gameplay and conduct. Whilst we have endeavoured to ensure all rules provide adequate guidance to meet all eventualities, instances may occur where teams feel that further guidance is needed. In such an event, contact a member of the Admin Team. 1.2 These rules are subject to change at any time before the registration deadline, so check them often. In extremely rare cases, rules may be altered after the tournament has started. All competitors involved in EGO are expected to know and understand all of the rules. Not knowing that a rule existed is not an excuse for breaking that rule. 1.3 Users are prohibited from sharing account information. This includes, but is not limited to the following: usernames, passwords, gamertags, email accounts, etc. If another person accesses your account, you may be disqualified from the Cup. This includes giving out your password to allow others to account recover your Playstation or Xbox Gamertag. 1.4 It is the responsibility of the player to ensure the Gamertag/PSN they use, matches the Gamertag/PSN listed on their EGO profile.If a player's Gamertag/PSN is incorrect, you will be disqualified from the cup. 1.5 Prizes are awarded to 1st and 2nd placed teams only. In order to be eligible for the award, all teams must play their matches in its entirety. If either team withdraw from the competition at any time in the run up to the final, they waive all rights to any prize claims. European Gaming Organisation ™ / © EGO – All rights reserved- V1.0 1.6 Users are not permitted to compete in more than one Cup at a time as this may delay the cup, any team found competing in 2 or more Cups will be disqualified from both tournaments. 1.7 Participation in a Cup competition constitutes entrant's full and unconditional agreement to these Rules, the Official Rules, and Admin decisions, which are final and binding in all matters. 1.8 Substitutions are not permitted with in the first 45 minutes of your game, Substitutions ARE allowed in the first half of Silver Goal and Golden Goal and can be made in the first half if there is an injury. 1.9 All Training/Attribute cards are strictly prohibited in all and any Ultimate Team cups. 1.10 Loan Players are prohibited in all Ultimate Team cups. We strongly advise players to check their opponents squad via 'Play a Friends Squad' if they think their opponent has subbed on an illegal player. 1.11 Legends: Each Squad must contain no more than 3 Legends. 2 Competition Guidelines 2.1 Any rule being broken may lead to disciplinary action. This action will be at the discretion of the Admin(s) involved, and the situation will be taken into account. Punishment may include, but not be limited to, forfeits, replays, penalty points, kicks, temporary and permanent bans. 2.2 All participants in any EGO competition will be required to uphold the highest standards and observe common sportsmanship. Racism will NOT be tolerated. If you are seen to be racist then you will have action taken against you. Being abusive in any way towards fellow players or admins will also result in disciplinary action. 2.3 We highly recommend that all players appear offline and set their Friends List to Private during the Cup. However, players are not required to do either of these things. 2.4 Any form of cheating, glitching, abusing in-game mechanics, or unsportsmanlike behaviour may result in a forfeit of a Map/Match, or Ban from EGO Events. Punishable unsportsmanlike behaviour includes but is not limited to, excessive use of foul or degrading language. In addition, breaking any rule may result in a forfeit of a Round/Map, forfeit of a Match, Verbal Warning or Ban from EGO Events. 2.5 EGO Staff reserve the right to stream any match in this competition. If your team's match is chosen, you are to cooperate fully with the staff that are in your match. European Gaming Organisation ™ / © EGO – All rights reserved- V1.0 2.6 All players MUST be contactable via the Fifa Xbox Cup chatroom on the website. 3 Game Specific Settings 3.1 You must play your opponent through the Ultimate Team section. 3.2 To do this go to FUT Hub - Friendly Season - Select Your Opponent 3.3 A player has 15 minutes from the scheduled match start time to show-up and be ready to start the match. Failure to do so will result in a forfeit. Also, it is both player's responsibility to check Gamertags/PSNs before the fixture is played to make sure that all players are eligible to play 3.4 The match format, unless stated, is 1 game played for 90 minutes with the winner progressing to the next round 3.5 In the case of a Draw a second game must be played with the Silver Goal rule (45 minutes winning team wins) and the Golden Goal rule (the to first team that scores wins) if needed. 3.6 Quarter Finals, Semi Finals and Finals match format will be best of 2 games (scores added together for final score) + Silver Goal and then Golden Goal if needed. 3.7 You cannot change teams in between games in the same series, including Silver and Golden Goal. You also cannot change team after a player disconnects during a game. In both circumstances, the same teams must be used. 4 Formations 4.1 The use of custom formations are strictly prohibited. 4.2 To check that your opponent is not using custom formations wait until you join the game and do not press "A" at the introduction scene. This will show up the teams and formations. If your opponent is using a custom formation quit out of the game and remind them that they are only allowed the formations provided. 4.3 If rule 4.2 is broken again, contact an admin via the FIFA Cup Chat, with proof and your opponent will be disqualified. 4.4 If a custom formulation is applied later in the game or the opponent realises during the game that a custom formation is being used, then the offender will be disqualified. European Gaming Organisation ™ / © EGO – All rights reserved- V1.0 5 Host 5.1 If you are unable to connect to your opponent you must contact an admin ASAP. Failure to do so will mean disqualification for both teams after 20 minutes unless an admin has been advised in which both teams have 30 minutes. 5.2 When having problems with connection we advise both players to contact an admin and then to reset their Console, reset your routers and remove and re add each other on friends list. 5.3 If you or your opponent lags out during the match; the match must be re-started, however, the score and time at the point when the player disconnected shall still stand. In the new game, the score will carry over, and the remainder of the match should be played out. For example, if player one is 2-0 up against player two, but then lags out in the 53rd minute. The match will then be re-started and played up until the 37th minute with player two winning 2-0. 6 Reporting 6.1 Both teams must report the Match results within 5 minutes of its completion. 6.2 To report the Match results, teams must report the Match Score accurately, with overall games won being reported. For example, the Match Score can be reported as 3-0, 3-1, etc. Reporting the individual points for each game is optional. 6.3 How do I report scores? To report scores for a competition: Click 'My matches' located at the right of every page Click on the little ‘calendar’ Enter result. 6.4 The report score function will only display 15 minutes after the designated start time of the fixture 6.5 Both teams must enter the result. 6.6 If both teams enter the result differently, a member of the Admin Team will be notified of the discrepancy and will intervene. European Gaming Organisation ™ / © EGO – All rights reserved- V1.0 6.7 Teams found to be deliberately mis entering results may face disciplinary action from the Admin Team. 6.8 If a Match is not played, and neither team reports a No Show, both teams will be removed after 30 minutes. 6.9 With your camera or phone, take a video or picture of the online friendlies stats screen, then upload it to your preferred video host, send the evidence to the admin dealing with your issue in private message. Another example of strong evidence would be your opponent's kick off after a goal has been scored. Video evidence is preferred over picture although both are taken. 6.10 If a Screenshot(s) or Video(s) is needed in order to resolve a dispute, you must clearly state what the issue is, the time in the video in which the issue occurred, and/or what the EGO Staff member should be looking at in the Screenshot/Video. For all cheating claims, the burden of proof is on the accuser. 7 Team Guidelines 7.1 It is the responsibility of the player to ensure you are eligible to participate in the competition and have no other accounts that are banned. 7.2 It is the responsibility of the player to not play for more than one team in the competition. 7.2 It is the responsibility of the player to ensure their Gamer ID is entered correctly on the website. 8 Conduct 8.1 All participants in any EGO competition will be required to uphothe highest standards and observe common sportsmanship. Racism will NOT be tolerated. If you are seen to be racist then you will have action taken against you. Being abusive in any way towards fellow players or admins will also result in disciplinary action. 8.2 Anyone who has been caught cheating in any EGO tournament may be suspended from all future EGO tournaments. EGO Admins will review cases and players may be suspended for a period of not less than one month and is subject to review by EGO admins for readmission after that point. If a player is caught cheating in a EGO match, their team shall forfeit that game. EGO will not conduct witch-hunts to try and find cheat violations against players. European Gaming Organisation ™ / © EGO – All rights reserved- V1.0 8.3 Players are expected to compete in a professional manner. Throwing a match, halting play without cause, or showing a flagrant lack of effort will be construed as a violation of player conduct, and will result in match forfeit and disqualification from the EGO tournament. 8.4Consequences for players and teams behaving in a manner considered by admins to be abusive, glitching, modding, cheating, unsporting, or who in any way conduct themselves in a manner not befitting the Tournament, will be subject to the following minimum sanctions: a. First offence, Player warned. b. Second offence, 1 month suspension for the player/players involved. C. Any further offences will result in the team being permanently removed from the tournament. 8.5 Players found to be abusing the game mechanic to gain advantage in a way considered by the admin team to be unsporting will result in an admin review of the match and suitable remediation will be made in respect of that game. This will include, but is not limited to: overturning match results and awarding default wins, points deduction, player/clan temporary or permanent bans. 8.6 Deliberately impeding the goalkeeper is not permitted. This includes, but is not limited to, blocking the goalkeeper during set pieces and deliberately running across the goalkeeper during dropkicks and throws. 8.7 Any team that is adjudged to have deliberately impeded the goalkeeper during play to gain an advantage (i.e. a goal), will automatically lose their fixture 3-0. Each case will be reviewed by the submission of video evidence. 8.8 Excessive time wasting will not be tolerated by EGO, more than 10 minutes concurrent of time wasting in a game could result in disqualification. Please finish the game in question and then contact an admin with video evidence. This rule is subject to Admin discretion based on the evidence provided. 9 Prizes 9.1 All results and final placements are verified by EGO staff before prizes are awarded. 9.2 If one or more players are found to have broken any rules then the entire team will forfeit their prize. 9.3 We aim to credit prize money to your wallet within 7 days of the completion of the respective competition. However, this may take up to 7 days to process. 10 EGO Staff 10.1 EGO Staff can be contacted to answer any questions or solve any problems your team may have during a Match. 10.2 If a EGO Staff member is called into a Custom Games Lobby, players must keep the EGO Staff member un-muted at all times. 10.3 Verbal and/or written abuse of a EGO Staff member will not be tolerated. This includes, but is not limited to: Forum Posts, Private Messages, and network messages. The individual user and/or team violating this rule will be subject to penalties. All team leaders are responsible for the conduct of the players on the team while interacting with EGO Staff and are subject to penalties if a team member becomes abusive towards EGO Staff. 10.4 EGO Staff members have the discretion to make necessary calls to ensure the match is completed successfully. When in a match, the EGO Staff member's call is final and must be followed. Failure to do so will result in penalties for your team. 11: Miscellaneous 11.1 The rules are open to many different interpretations. The only interpretation, which matters, is the interpretation of the Admin team. We reserve the right to modify the rules at any time. This includes changes due to software updates or releases, and any other change deemed necessary by the league. You must understand that the rules listed are guidelines to try and ensure fair and competitive play, and they will be applied by officials based on the spirit of the game. Teams should check the rules prior to any event to ensure they are in compliance. They should also keep an eye on the website, as changes will be announced on the website.
