As a {insert your TEDxName here} volunteer, you have the opportunity to work towards bringing a
remarkable event to life with a diverse group of passionate individuals. TEDx organizers and
volunteers work to make the event happen because they believe in the power of ideas, in the
strength of collaboration, and the importance of providing youth a forum in which to share their
ideas.
By committing to work as an official {insert your TEDxName here} volunteer, I
agree to the following:
1. I will become involved in the TED community online, viewing videos and
becoming comfortable with the TED ethos regarding the power of ideas to
change attitudes, lives and ultimately, the world. I will do this so I can be
confident when answering questions about TED, TEDx and TEDxYouth
events.
2. I will stay updated and in contact with the {insert your TEDxName here} team
via the {insert your TEDxName here} Wiki, Facebook and Twitter feeds.
3. I will be principled and arrive prepared for meetings and tasks on time. If I am
unable to attend a meeting or task I will alert the organizers in advance.
4. I will not quit, or opt out at a later date. I understand that by doing such I could
jeopardize the entire event, the TEDx licence and devalue the work that
each person has devoted to the event.
5. I will maintain team spirit by being supportive, constructive and respectful of
other's opinions. I will respectfully question ideas and give suggestions to
make the event better.
6. I will try my best to preserve collective resources and take action to make the
event as sustainable as possible.
