The LightPulse single, dual and quad-port LPe16000-series features the Emulex
bulletproof driver-stack, backward compatibility to 4Gb Fibre Channel (4GFC)
and 8GFC HBAs and rock-solid reliability with a heritage that spans back to the
first generation of FC adapters to today’s Gen 5 Fibre Channel adapters.
Gen 5 Fibre Channel is Complementary to 4GFC/8GFC HBAs
With a common driver model supporting all Emulex HBAs for each operating
system, the Gen 5 Fibre Channel HBA is complementary to the entire
product line. Backward compatibility with 4 and 8GFC HBAs also provides
investment protection. Emulex is trusted by data centers the world-over,
with more than 12 million HBA ports shipped and installed to date.
Powerful Management Software for Maximum Data Center Efficiency
The Emulex OneCommand Manager enterprise-class management application
features a multiprotocol, cross-platform architecture, that provides
centralized management of all HBAs and Universal Converged Network
Adapters (UCNAs) provided by Emulex. This enables IT administrators
to manage FC, FC over Ethernet (FCoE), Internet Small Computer System
Interface (iSCSI) and Network Interface Card (NIC) adapters with one tool
for maximum efficiency. The unique OneCommand Manager plug-in for
VMware vCenter™ Server enables adapters to be managed directly within
the VMware environment, further simplifying the management process.
